Awesome!
I purchased these broadheads for my Horton Bone Crusher arrows. Since they are already almost 500 grains, I was not concerned with the 100 grain tips. I shot a doe with this combination, and from 30 yards the arrow broke 3 ribs, got the lungs and came out its neck. It then bounced off a tree about 2 foot!!! Just like they say, they went right through the bones like butter. The only complaint I might have is where the blades come down they did bend the metal a little - this was from the force of the blades going through the bone I suspect. The broadhead is still fully usable though, so I will keep shooting it!

I like to make my own arrows and glue on my ...
I have been a bowhunter in the Midwestern states for 32 years. I lost count on the number of whitetail deer I have watched quickly expire with Spitfire broadheads since I first tried them about 10 years ago. I like to make my own arrows and glue on my own fletching with a bitzenburger fletcher -- it's nice knowing that I do not have to worry about the broadhead blades matching up with fletching and the Spitfires mechanical fold more closely resembles the wind resistance of the target heads that I use year round. And no rubber bands required! The most recent kill with the Spitfire Edge, Sep 15, was a heart shot on a buck and he only ran 15 yards before he collapsed and expired. Of course just about any broad head would be effective at short range, nonetheless, a heart shot, but I have greater confidence with Spitfire Edge serrated blades. If you have ever used a regular sharp knife and compared the actual cutting action of a serrated blade for cutting hide or slimy skin, you already understand the advantage of a serrated blade over a regular one in a broadhead. Rip, tear, accurate, quick, clean, .... you know the rest. Clean venison in the freezer and the humane memory of an animal that did not suffer for it.

Devestating reliable broadhead
I hunt whitetail all over the midwest with these. I'm certain I've harvested well over 50 animals with this head. They have never failed and are absolutly devistating. Worth the money.

AMAZING
Killed elk, Deer and Javelinas with these. Shot a bedded mule deer at 77 yards in the wind and the spitfire went though its hind leg, through the stomach, lungs and everything and left a hole the size of a small basketball out the back side. All animals have been dead within 100 yards. They fly great and have NO problems with penetration like some people try to say (looking at Rage). And they are much better than rages or ulmer edges, and they stay closed.

Paint it Red
Double lunged a doe this season with one of these spitfires on my barnett crossbow. Burned right through sticking in the ground on the other side, after cutting ribs in half on both sides. Left a blood trail through the woods like no other, not that I needed since she piled up only 50 yards later. Highly recommended. Flew exactly like fieldpoints. I've used three blade rages in the past......never again, no comparison.

Best Broad-head on the Market
After lots of research, I settled on this broadhead... deep penetration on 6.5 year old mature, south Texas buck through front shoulder. Didn’t go 20! Only broadhead I’ll hunt with.

Blades not opening on impact
Shot 2 deer November 2 with these. Found them both. First deer was quartering away from me at less then 20 yards. Solid shot that went through to opposite shoulder. When I found my arrow I noticed the broadhead was still completely closed and threaded shaft was bent. I did recover the deer thankfully. An hour later I shot another deer broadside at 20 yards and didn't get a pass through when normally I do. Again at least one of the blades stayed closed. Did recover this deer too because of a great blood trail. The blades felt very hard to open out of the box. They shot straight and true, but concerned about blades not opening. Pics are of arrow and broadhead after shooting deer. U can see the blades are still closed

Sharp and accurate
Very sharp blades, flys like a field point. I shoot a switchback XT with 250 arrows.

Shoots very accurately
Similar price as the big stores and you don’t have to drive there. Great broadhead and punches through a deer with ease.

Letales
