I have fine, naturally curly (3a)
I have fine, naturally curly (3a),low porosity, hair, that is just below my shoulders, and isn't color treated. After spending 25 years straightening (aka damaging) my hair, I decided to try the curly-girl method, which promotes "co-washing ". Unfortunately, while co-washing did improve my frizz and curl formation, I had a big problem with build up and dull looking hair. I tried "loo-poo" but it just left it frizzy. So, before giving up on my curly hair, I tried CJ daily fix. It consistently garners glowing reviews and I am thrilled I get to jump on the bandwagon! My hair is soft, curly and without frizz or build up; my scalp feels clean. This product has just a bit of cocamidopropyl betaine (which acts as a very gentle cleanser) and offers plenty of oil-free moisture. While the price point was a concern ( I have two teenage daughters heading to college - need I say more?) I have to say this penny-pinching mom feels it's well worth it, as a little product goes a long way. As other reviewers mentioned, the key is lots of water and scrubbing. I use about 1 Tbs of product or less and wash every other day. I have not had to use other any additional conditioners, other than a little leave in, but my hair is probably not as dry as some curly girls. For those with fine, curly hair, this product is worth a try!

My fine, fragile curls like this.
Good product for fine curls that tend to get weighed down easily. Cowashing with regular conditioner began to build-up and make my hair limp and greasy, but this stuff actually gives me some volume at the roots. It took me a little while to get the hang of using it, but once I did, it made a huge difference. I find it to cleanse almost as thoroughly as a sulfate shampoo, minus the damage. No-poo and low-poo never worked for me (too heavy), but this stuff does the trick. It's a pretty concentrated product, so I've found the key is to start off with a small amount and add water to help dilute and distribute it. A nickel-sized amount once or twice a week is all I need to cleanse my scalp. Oh, and it's a little expensive, but the bottle lasts a very long time.

True to Name
I have thin, low porosity hair. This product is glycerin free and is light weight. It really cleans and moisturizes at the same time. I've cowashed before and always had problems with build up or products weighing down my hair. I literally use this every day, no need for poo and it works perfect. Sometimes I add a conditioner afterward because my hair is in recovery but it really is a daily fix.

Do not like this co-wash
Do not like this co-wash. I have 3A curly hair. The wash works fine - hair is clean but the "co" is non existent. My hair turned out dry and straw like. I must use my normal conditioner as a followup to this wash. I do not have this issue with my other co-wash. Will not buy this again.

Shine boosting, moisturizing hair cleanser.
This is the only cleansing product I use on my very fine curly hair. It is expensive but to me it is worth the price because I have not found any product that cleanses as well without drying my hair. It also leaves my hair shinier than other products in the past. I wish it was all natural but I believe according to the manufacturer, the fragrance at least does not contain phthalates which is something I try to avoid.

Great for military
Whenever I’ve had field ops or extended range trainings THIS is my go-to product that I pack in hopes of my unit getting the chance to shower. When having to carry everything you need in a rucksack, obviously you can’t take your normal bathroom sink routine. I like this product because it washes the gel and dirt out of my hair and usually I can skip conditioner or just use a little spray conditioner (like It’s a 10) to make sure all my tangles are out.My hair is super long, baby fine/thin, and a mix of waves and ringlets.

READ MY REVIEW
I only use cleansing conditioners on my very thick, wirey, curly long hair. The first time I used this product I saw I lost a LOT of hair. I have to admit I do NOT brush my hair often, so I just thought maybe it just caught all the loose hair. As I have mentioned, it is VERY THICK AND CURLY. When I used it the second time I lost even more hair! My next washing I used another cleansing conditioner and I did NOT loose as much hair as I did the 2 times I used this product. For me it's not such a big deal, but if you are already working with thinner hair, you may want to reconsider.

Great product for natural hair
I no longer use this product, because I no longer wear my hair in its natural texture. When I did, the product worked effectively. I used it for about six years.
