It was impossible for my kids to get the sticks into the joint connectors, and even I had to use a lot of muscle. After all the effort of setup, it completely collapsed under the weight of a couple of sheets. It was very disappointing.

This is not easy for 5 year ild to assemble because the rods do not easily fit into holes. Thus, the structure is not sturdy. To assemble, I had to push hard and twist rods into holes. A young child will not have the strength to assemble. Not a good product and will be returning it.

I bought these for my grandkids to play with and they love them! They're not that difficult to assemble, at least not for kids aged 9 or 7 (younger kids might need some help), and they don't fall apart easily like some reviewers have indicated (even when covered with a sheet or blanket). It's definitely a good idea to go for the large set (which this is) because the kids like building big sets with multiple entrances that they can stand up in the center. Of course, they love the glow-in-the-dark feature as well. So glad I got these.

Really hard for little and no so little hands to put together. The idea was for the kids to create structures not for mom to break into a sweat trying to make it work... uber frustrating!

I bought this for my 10-year-old. He is small (size of 1st graders) and I bought 2 sets. It is hard for him to push the rods into the joints/balls. The idea to build a fort is awesome but I think he prefers the old-fashioned way because it is faster for him. The glowing aspect of this is really neat. This is a cool set but will likely need adults to set up. I would recommend two sets.

I ordered for my 5 year old grandson they are always building forts with my furniture,so I got these and they love it and had a big fort built within minutes

My daughter loves these and loves building forts! She's 5 and they're a little to hard for her to put together on her own but she still loves them. They don't really glow in the dark though
