I pack this for travel, and wanted something that wasn’t bulky. This is made well and takes up very little suitcase space, but the pieces are too small, and probably half of the size required given the actual board size. I’ll keep it, but will replace the pieces. Also, the checkers pieces don’t stack, which makes playing clumsy

Nice, compact 3-in-1 travel game. Quality material and craftsmanship. It seemed a bit odd initially, that the game pieces are universal to be used for checkers, chess and backgammon. However, I have come to like the idea after playing the games several times. Efficient use of the pieces, especially for storing. There is a concern that the game pieces are very small and some could fall and get lost easily. Play with caution around overly excited kids!The game board rolls up for storage nicely but does not lay flat when being used. The trick I used to help it lay flat was to roll the game board in the opposite direction of being stored. The game board still, will curl up a bit after a short time. I imagine it will get better with time, upon continued rolling and unrolling of the game board.I corresponded with Rika, from customer support. Rika was very courteous and prompt on communicating about the product and shipping. Rika is always helpful to my concerns.A very good travel game that is very functional for the compact size.

Very nice set. The leather gives a little nicer feel than a cardboard or pegboard set, and since it's not magnetic, it can be double-sided with a backgammon board on the reverse side. There is a nice compartment for the pieces in one end. The leather also makes it a non-slip surface which is good since it isn't magnetic. You only get one queen per color though, so if you promote a pawn, you'll need to improvise.The pieces are decent plastic pieces but do have one minor flaw. They are slick without any ridges or anything that allow you to stack them. So, in Checkers, if you crown a piece, you can't stack them like you normally would. You could turn them so the Chess symbol shows to indicate a piece has been crowned though. It would have been helpful if they had a small ridge or indentation that would allow them to be stacked.

This game is not worth $38. Just played with it for the first time, because I was not home when it came. Now it is past the return date. It does not lay flat. pieces move all over the place because it is not magnetic. Very cheaply made. Could never use this for traveling because it is not sturdy enough. Do not buy this at all.

This 3 in 1 game set is crafted very well. It definitely looks like it is made by a professional leather artist. It’s great quality and we’ll get great use out of it. I found the box to cheapen the look for the game board. So I tossed the box and gave it to my hubby in the included black drawstring bag that was included. Great product. Amazing price.

I purchased this set for my 10 year old that loves all three of these games, but could never figure out a way to easily bring all three to his grandmother’s house or to a sleepover. Well, when I saw this , I immediately purchased it for him. He loves that it conveniently fits into his back pack and it doesn’t take up too much room. As a family, we travel often and this is a high value travel gane set. It holds up to cushiony plane rides to backpacking in the woods. Any liquid spills that we’ve had while playing were easily wiped up. It comes in a nice travel case too! I highly recommend as a gift for any chess game lover!
