Shows really well what happens inside a lock
It fits it's purpose perfectly, it's here to demonstrate. Obviously it's weak and therefore can be broken easily if you tried.

Transparent lock
Bought for grandson who wanted to pretend to be a locksmith. Lock ideal as he can see how the mechanism works

Not the best
The metal work is very rough on this and I have had to pick some of it out so it doesn’t fall into the mechanism. Not bad for the price but certainly could be betterAlso the bitting is very very simple and even though it’s 6 pin you only really have to move 2 pins and it will open. Good to see the mechanism and feel the pins but not a good item to learn with at all

Avoid buying!
Avoid. Useless for training purposes. Quality is rubbish and feels nothing like a real padlock. Requires 1 pin to be set to open. Parts of the inner lock are falling apart already with the slightest tension.

Poor as a lock fine as a visual aid
Not great for lock picking as it's very easy to open and the core is plastic and broke after a few usesIt is however useful for illustration purposes.

Great value but you do have to be willing to do a bit of fettling
Locks are pieces of precision engineering and this is reflected in the price for even the most basic examples.In other words you get what you pay for.The Loboo Idea Transparent Padlock is inexpensive.You might even say cheap and this is confirmed by its tolerances.Indeed it's the cheapest lock on Amazon.However, the excitement of taking the padlock and two keys out of the box soon turns to disappointment when you first try to put it to use.The keys fit the lock with difficulty. When you do get them to operate the lock it is nigh near impossible to close again.But persevere.Polish the keys with a bit of emery cloth or file to remove the rough edges.Lubricate the cylinder and hasp with PS88 lock lubricant. Not oil. (Use spray furniture polish at a pinch.)That done your disappointment may very well turn to delight.I know it worked for me.Knowing this would I buy again?At this price --- you bet
