SchecterSLS Evil Twin-5 - Satin Black

Let me just clarify I did love this bass, honestly I really did, it was difficult to not give it 5 stars. The fishman pickups are super cool and definitely give this instrument a unique sound, it's on the lighter end especially for a quality 5 string and looks super cool, definitely living up to its name. But unfortunately I had a few problems. For one it was only semi-playable out of the box. The G string wouldn't even play because the pickups were so high. I also noticed quite a few of these "droplet" blemishes all along the fretboard...I've been playing for almost 20 years and have never seen anything like it? Maybe something slightly similar but never this many. It was quite distracting when playing, looked like someone accidentally dripped some kind of polish or something while finishing it. Nobody could definitively say what it was and, considering the price, I simply couldn't "settle" and get over them. The bass was also a little rattley in general and needed some setting up before being gig/practice ready.BUT if you're able to get one of these without any of the above mentioned problems, and/or are a DIY luthier or willing to spend a bit extra out of the box to get it professionally set up, it's a solid bass and you really can't go wrong. I do recommend it but I also felt I should share my experience...
