After reading reviews on this expanding file, I wasn't so sure I was making the right choice in purchasing it. I read that it was hard to open it. Unless you are a pip-squeek or a kid, you will be able to open the file. The fact that it has a nice sturdy handle makes it really easy to take the exandable file with you on the go and it doesn't scratch as easily as another reviewer said. I guess if you are rough with it and throw it around, of course you are going to get scratches. All in all, a worthwhile product. And it looks cute too!!

I was taking a printmaking class needed something to store and carry my plates and printing paper in. I needed a handle and an expandable container. This fit the bill and it was a nice design. I didn't have a problem with the clasp but I am a little disappointed in is that the brown coloring is scratching off. Now, I'm not the most gentle with it but I didn't expect it to be this type of thin color. I would still buy it again for the purpose that I needed it.

I wanted an Accordion Folder that had a lot of pockets in it. This one definitely has enough pockets to meet my needs; however, they are not really pockets as the bottoms of each "pocket" are not sealed, so things like receipts and other small papers will slip out of that pocket easily. I've had to add envelopes to hold receipts. Also, in order to open the folder, you need to squeeze the clasp just right or it will be nearly impossible to open. The first few times I tried to open it I struggled with it for a good five minutes. The clasp would not be ideal for anyone with any kind of arthritis or other joint problems. I will probably leave mine unclasped while its sitting on my shelf. Overall, I'm giving it three stars because my biggest wish was to have more pockets than the average folder, and this one meets that need for me. Otherwise I would probably have given it two stars for the open bottomed pockets and the terrible clasp.

I love the colorful design, and the product is sturdier-feeling than I expected, as well as deeper, and what I can feel of the plastic pockets from the sides, they seem fairly thick. However I have to return this item because I can't open the clasp. It arrived with the front scratched and dented from being poorly packaged with other items.

I was disappointed when I received this. It was not packaged very well and the front had scratches and scrapes on it. Although this is not the fault of the product, I was disappointed that it could be so easily scratched. It is constructed entirely if thin plastic, which makes it very lightweight, but also very "cheap" looking. In my opinion, it is grossly overpriced and should cost half of what does. I returned mine due to the scratches but would have probably returned it anyway. I was looking for something cute, portable and durable. This only meets 2 out of 3 criteria and is too expensive for what you get.

We were always searching the house for documents that we needed and this product has saved us so much time finding what we needed when we needed it. I seen other people say the clasp is hard to use but I have had no problems with the clasp and would recommend this for someone who don't have a lot of documents to keep track of and don't want a big filing cabinet in their home. We just keep it in the closet and always know where it is.

This is a very nice expanding pocket folder. It took a long time finding one with enough pockets for the whole alphabet. This one did. It also came with handy labels which is nice. The only thing I wish it that the plastic was a little heavier. Except for that I would have given this a 5 star not a 4 star.

I ordered this for an easy way to store and organize the owners manuals that we've managed to accumulate over the years. I like it because it's rather large, and has lots of space for what I needed. The only drawback is that when it arrived, it does not look as nice as it does in the picture. I found a lot of the scratch marks that have been mentioned in other reviews. I don't mind that much, since it's something that will probably get stored away in a closet or on a shelf, but at the same time, when I purchase something I expect it to be in brand new condition when I receive it (unless otherwise stated). It's disappointing to order something and not have it look brand new, the way it should. That being said, because of the other reviews I at least anticipated this problem, so I'm not going to complain too much. It still does what it is intended to do, even if it doesn't look so nice doing it.
