Simplest, best diaper pail out there
This is the simplest, best diaper pail out there! I finally got this when my child was 15 months old after being so frustrated with a competitor’s diaper pail. It should have a million stars; it’s truly the best. Zero odors, so easy to use.

Contains smells better than diaper genie
We’ve had a diaper genie and this one, the diaper genie made our entire house smell like baby poop by the end of it.. we didn’t notice because we were nose blind to it. This one helps save money in the long run on not having to buy special insert bags and totally contains all smells and the lock helps keep toddlers out!

Great! Contains smell well
I love this diaper pale. Really user friendly and you’re not spending money on specific trash bags you can just use what you have. Of course this is not an odor eliminating trash can so when you open it you will get smacked in the face w a stench but it contains the smell perfectly when shut. And it has a lock function on it for when you have a curious toddler running around.

Just bought a second one!
This is hands down one of the best diaper pails I've ever had! It does a great job of keeping the smells inside when it's closed. It takes the garbage bags from Costco easily enough, no special bags required. Very easy to open, close and the 'locking mechanism' all around, great quality. Have had one for several years and just added another one so we could have one on each floor!

Great Looking & Functional – But Not Without Flaws
After two weeks of use, I can confidently say the Ubbi stainless steel diaper pail does exactly what it promises. The biggest standout feature—and what truly sets it apart from most others—is that it works with regular kitchen trash bags. No more being locked into overpriced, proprietary refills. That alone makes it a winner in my book. In fact, the ability to use your own bags can help offset the higher upfront price of the pail over time.Another big plus is the design. It's compact, sleek, and comes in tons of color options. Ours looks great in the nursery, and we don’t feel the need to hide it away in a bathroom. Performance-wise, it holds in odors very well when used properly, which is critical with a newborn in the house. That said, there are a few trade-offs. The opening at the top is quite small, so you have to roll or fold diapers up tightly to get them in cleanly. The overall size could also be larger—we find our one-month-old fills it up in about 5–6 days, which isn’t quite enough to make it to the weekly trash pickup.Once full, removing the trash bag can be tricky. It gets snug inside, and there’s definitely a risk of tearing the bag during removal—though to be fair, that’s likely a common issue across diaper pails. Also, they recommend not using water or cleaning products to clean, which seems unrealistic if a mess happens—wiping it down alone may not be enough.Another notable issue is securing the trash bag. The inner ring that holds the bag in place is the same small size as the opening, so the large trash bag opening tends to pop out as diapers accumulate. I solved this by tying a knot in the bag underside the ring, but it’s a bit of a workaround. Finally, I’ve noticed other reviews mentioning the plastic components can break over time, which does make me question long-term durability.Still, for the convenience, looks, odor control, and long-term savings on bags, this is one of the better diaper pails out there.

1st time mom buy must have for baby needs
I became a new mom in June 2025, and we absolutely love our Ubbi Stainless Steel Diaper Pail. One of the best features is the variety of colors available on Amazon, as most retail stores like Target and Walmart only offered white options. We chose the gray one, and it's perfect to have next to our changing station for our newborn. The size is ideal for any home, and we even took it along on our trip this summer. I can confirm that any trash bag fits in the Ubbi; you don’t need to use the special Ubbi bags designed for the pail. We simply use regular trash bags.

Super convenient and odour free
I bought this diaper pail for a friend, and they told me it has been amazing. They love how well it seals in odors and how easy it is to use, making diaper changes much cleaner and simpler. They also mentioned that it’s sturdy, looks modern, and is very easy to empty and replace the liners. They said it’s definitely a practical and thoughtful addition to any nursery.
