BM0025 8" Corrugated Elbow, Black

The elbow pipe for our wood stove rusted over the past year and I needed a replacement. This was an exact replacement size. The quality seems to be very good.The only downside was that one end of the pipe was slightly out of round (perhaps from compression during shipping). It was a little bit challenging to get it to fit into the wood stove but once on, it has been fine.

I purchased this from Toby's Tool Shed because the combined shipping with some furnace cement was the best deal I could find. However, the order was shipped in a box about 4x the size of the elbow and the two containers of cement were not packed to keep them stationary. Each 16 oz. container weighed about 2 lbs., they bounced around in the box they beat the daylights out of the pipe... and that's not small feat. Needless to say, the pipe was damaged.The good news is that this elbow is made of 24 gauge steel and built like a tank. If you don't need a flexible elbow this is the best you can use on your stove because it will not leak or allow air to enter around the connections like a flexible elbow. I have a reverse pipe system on my Blaze King wood stove so the crimped end goes into the stove fitting. Most stoves have a system where the crimped ends point toward the chimney which makes for a better system since the gases are flowing with the connections and not against them. In my system you have to seal the joints with furnace cement and some screws or it will leak. The damage to the elbow I received was primarily on the crimped end and it's almost impossible to straighten this heavy metal.I think this is a great pipe and prices here were less than those for a flexible elbow at the box stores.

The United States attached to this ad is deceptive as it is made in China and the sizing is way off.The one I have here is 7 and 1/2 inches on both ends and both ends are very oblong and out of round.unable to bend it or deform it in any way to make it useable, useful and fit it to my existing pipe. It is heavy and strong 24 gauge metal and so reshaping the oblong instead of round ends is impossible matter. USELESS is the only way to describe the one they sent me. Maybe it was damaged in shipping from China but that still does not explain being 1/2 inch off and not the 8 inches advertised. BUYER BEWARE.

Came as ordered. I am just useing it as a back up since I live Off Grid.

Very expensive and mine came bent up and I wasn’t too happy with it for this extremely high price. Will be sending it back, had it came in good condition I would have liked it because it’s pretty good quality. The packaging needed to be better so it didn’t bang in to each other during shipping
