Wild Angels [Blu-ray]

Peter Fonda and Bruce Dern are perfectly cast in this biker film that hits all the cliches and keeps the action going. The 60's wildness is so much fun. Not for everyone, but I dig this trip, man!

When the words "Peter Fonda" and "motorcycle movie" are brought together, they lead most people to say "Easy Rider." However, three years before "Easy Rider", "The Wild Angels" came to theaters and made stars out of Peter Fonda, Nancy Sinatra, Bruce Dern, and Laura Dern. They play motorcyclists on a wild journey where they clash with ignoramus townspeople and deal with getting their motorcycles stolen the way they most certainly will in a movie like this. Certainly one of Roger Corman's finest and certainly a classic in its own right, no matter how underrated compared to "Easy Rider" it may be.

MADE TO APPEAL TO THE BIKERS OF THAT HEYDAY, IT IS ACTUALLY POORLY MADE WITH A WASTE OF LIMITED TALENT COMING FROM PETER FONDA AND NANCY SINATRA...

This movie sucked. Bruce Dern is a good actor but he exits the movie too early. Fonda was great in Easy Rider, The Hired Hand, Ulee's Gold but he sucked in this. His line 'There is nowhere else to go' he says to Nancy is the best part of the film leaving some enigmatic scene to the film. Nancy was great. There just wasn't much of a plot to it. I like Peter Fonda too and wanted to like him in this but too boring and bad acting with no plot.

Well it was cheap made and it was very dumb but I did watch the whole thing and it was entertaining ,, I think, LOL

ITS BEYOND ME , HOW THIS DUMB AND IDIOTIC FLICK GETS OVER ONE STAR ON REVIEWS . ITS NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF WILD GORILLAS RUNNING AMUCK ON MOTORCYCLES . THIS MOVIE A TOTAL FLOPPER

A different look at American sub-culture during 60's; the decadence and lack of direction or a zeal... Depression and the search for cure to emotional emptiness pervades this picture...

It's a cool movie. For the times I give it a four rating. The story has enough depth to push it through and the acting is good. Plot is crazy, but in underground LA in the mid sixties what do you expect? I liked it. I liked the bikes and Nancy is a total babe. Worth watching if you are into biker movies. The mid sixties have some gems and this is one of them.

Peter Fonda R.I.P. Wish I’d seen this 50 years ago; it would’ve felt a helluvva lot edgier watching it then. But, despite the last 15 minutes or so unravelling a fair bit - things get messy to the point you feel the director lost control of the whole thing - it’s still worth a watch.

Peter Fonda was Blue, before he became Captain America. But what reason he had to be blue is beyond me. He was the leader of cool gang of outlaw bikers (played by some of the real Hell's Angels, including Sonny Barger) and on the back of his chopped Harley was riding Nancy Sinatra. Does life get much better?In this film Fonda utters the immortal and oft-borrowed line 'We wanna ride our machines without being hassled by the man. And we wanna get loaded!'Recognise it? Primal Scream and Mudhoeny both sampled it.Great riding sequences, great fights, great lines, typical Corman directing, great Sixties instrumental theme (by Dave Allen and the Arrows - if you like Dick Dale...). I'm going to sit down and watch it again.

excellent film as I remembered, thought the 50th anniversary edition would have some additional features though!
