Absolutely Love it for Powering my Subs!
First of all, for all you saying the fan is too loud...you have a strange version of loud. My cooling fan turned on full blast when I turned it on for the first time, and my amp went into protect mode. What did I do? Cry about it and return it? No. I turned it off and back on and it worked like a charm. :) I don't what yours is doing but my cooling fan is running at a very quiet, slow speed that you can barely hear.I am using the power supply to power a 1600 watt max amp and two Pioneer subs with 600 watts rms each. They are the 3003 with whatever identifying letters. DVC. Search "Pioneer 3003" and you'll find them. When I have the music turned up loud enough to shake things on the wall, my Kill-A-Watt meter plugged into the wall shows that the power supply is drawing about 100 watts. I must have an extremely efficient amp? This power supply works great for subs if you have an amp that doesn't suck power. I figure that I can go up to about 300 watts drawn before I start to worry about the power supply.Very very happy with the purchase. I will follow up if anything bad happens to the power supply, but it is working like a charm. I'm saddened by all the bad reviews on this. It is BY FAR the best deal on the market for power supplies. Thank you for such a great product!!!

Great power supply for the price!
Bought this to be able to bench test car audio equipment. Plenty of power and works very well. Voltage is constant and more than enough amps for my use.

Works well
I have been happy with this product over the 4 years I have owned it. I have not noticed problematic acoustic or RF noise. I have used it indoors and have not had an issue with overheating when powering a 20 watt mobile radio.

HOLDS IT'S VOLTAGE AND GREAT FOR THE RV
GREAT P/S FOR HOME OR RV for the radios. Bought for a 100w Icom and it holds it volts during CW carrier hold-down. NICE P/S !

A very capable reliable power supply
I have two of these power supplies. The first one has been in use for more than five years and I recently purchased a second one. These are excellent priced, very good, and sturdy power supplies, capable of stedly delivering high current. I gave a 4 stars rating (out of a 5 maximum) for two reasons: 1) the main switch power connector is not durable (I had to replace it in my first power supply and I see the same bad switch in the second power supply); 2) the cooling fan is unnecessarily on all the time (there is no thermostat control), and this creates unnecessary noise. All in all I recommend this power supply, and I would continue to buy it as needed.

Great low profile design!
This is a rock solid power supply with a great low profile design, easy to reach terminals, and offers stable delivery of power to my radio's. This is the second PSV-300 in my ham shack and a reliable accessory on my bench.

Does the job very well.
Using this to power a HAM radio that draws around 10 Amps on high power. This power supply doesn't even blink, it instead sends the power needed to blast some RF into the universe and proclaims my call sign to be good as gold! Awesome, I tell you. This power supply really Pyles it on!

Great for Mobile HAM Radios
Rated at 13.8, but when tested it gives 13.9-14, using this to power a mobile quad band HAM radio as a base station and it is approx 2 feet away from the radio and I get no noise from this power supply. I used my HT while on a HAM net to test and with the antenna right on the power supply got no interference from it. I tried other power supplies, but this one was the best. My radio can go up to 50W and the power supply handles it like a champ. I would def recommend this power supply to others. When powered on it is silent, when I turn on my radio I hear the fan turn on, but still pretty silent, when I tested that it could handle all the power settings on my radio the fan would start to run faster as I pulled more power, but even at max it is still pretty quiet. You can hear the fan, but it is not overly noisy. When used for an hour straight the case was still cool and the radio was a little warm. I am happy with this power supply and if I need another I would get another one of these.EDIT: I rearranged my ham area and now the pyramid is behind my radio and since moving it I still get no interference, I tried max watts on my radio and it Didn’t get warm, the fan ran no louder then when using 10W so still very happy buying this, after trying a few others before I wish I just had spent the extra money and bought this one, an internal(not for outdoors) power supply had the save rate with variable voltage preset to 12.1 and even setting it to 13.8 it even couldn’t handle 5 watts.
