RockportMen's Classic Loafer Penny

I have for nearly a decade been very happy with the  Johnston & Murphy Men's Ainsworth Penny  slip- on as it was a comfortable, inexpensive, and perfectly- fitting shoe. Sadly, the price of that shoe went up and up, to finally only being orderable from the MFG website at over twice what I used to pay for.So, in my search for a decent slip- on replacement, this shoe here ends up being my choice. Not gonna lie, it's only 90% percent there. It's *slightly* less comfortable, and slightly less fitting, but the price is right.Important: I used the Johnston & Murphy shoe size of "9", with this I require a "10". I've tried the "10.5" as well as "10W" variants, but the regular "10" is closest. It's a good shoe if it fits.

This loafer became one of my favorite shoes for work and business travel several years ago and I bought several replacements since my first pair. However, the pair delivered with my last order were a half size larger than the ones I currently wear despite being marked with the same size and SKU numbers. I was stepping out of the heals even after changing to thick socks. The size difference was much more than normal production variation so I am not sure if I trust Rockport enough order online again.

I've had these for 21 months and they've felt great. However, after wearing them more or less every other day, the plastic soles have split completely in half, edge to edge, about half way between the toe and instep. The split is all the way through, to the point that the toe portion moves on its own only held on by the leather, and if it's the least bit wet outside my socks are soaked.They're comfortable enough that I'm buying another pair, but I've rarely ever had a pair of shoes wear out this quickly.

Would strongly advise if going to purchase this shoes that you should get a size up. So in other words if your a size 9 get a size 10 in the shoes. I bought this shoes at my size but it won’t fit in so I had to take out the inside sole for the shoes to fit on after that every thing was okay . so I know next time to get a size bigger. Other wise the style and look is classy love how it blends in with outfits.

My son is very picky about shoes. He needs black loafers for his high school uniform. He tried about a dozen pairs. These were the only ones he liked. He wore them for months and liked them even more once they were broken in. He has to wear them all day, including lots of walking. Once he outgrew them we went ahead and bought the next size up. He's on his third pair now. These are keepers. My only complaint is no arch support, but he doesn't seem to notice that.

Buyer Beware! My shoe size is 11 and I buy my shoes size 11.5 D(M) US. The sole of this shoe is a hard composite plastic (Adiprene by Adidas) - great stuff if you want to crush Butternut squash or break cinder blocks - bad stuff for your feets! The shoe's sole does not flex at all. I couldn't get my feet, one at a time, into these shoes no matter what I tried up to and including having the Wife jump up and down on my head to force my feet into the shoes. Stay away from any shoes constructed with Adiprene - you'll be sorrrrry. They are, however, a beautiful pair of shoes - a classic case of function sacrificed on the altar of form.

I could barely get this shoe on and it says it's my size (12 wide.). I had a similar experience with another pair of Rockport penny loafers -- seems to be a size and a half too small for me even though the shoe indicates the right size. This shoe in particular was particularly ugly. Ugly leather and so-so craftsmanship. Rockports used to be very high quality shoes a few years ago. They've definitely been cutting corners lately. I won't ever buy another one.

I bought these to replace a previous pair of Rockport Penny Loafers that I wore out after several years and these are a nice replacement. They look dressy despite having the rubber soles that I prefer.Minus one star because there's some bit of leather folded over the back that's rubbing my heel in an annoying fashion. I haven't tried to see if it's just a little extra that can be clipped and it hasn't stopped me wearing them all day with a decent amount of walking.

Los zapatos tienen la garantía de ser Rockport, por lo que son bastante cómodos. Sin embargo yo pedí talla 8 1/2 americana, que es la que normalmente uso y aunque de tamaño me quedaron, me aprietan un poco del empeine, siento que el corte del zapato viene un poco justo

Este pedido no fue de mi agrado, ya que llegaron los zapatos mas anchos que los anteriores (aun siendo de la misma medida) y se me salen al caminar, lamentablemente los usé un dia.Ademas el color, aunque no me disgusta, también es diferente.

I love these shoes for the summer months, style and color and quality of shoe seems very well made. I ordered the 11w, and I normally fit in 11s or 11.5 I found length was a bit too large and a 10.5 would have been a better fit, the width was perfect.

They run a bit big. We returned our first pair and got a half size down. Perfect. Love Amazon!
