This very affordable 'US Cargo Control Round Tube Load Bar - Adjustable from 89.75 Inches to 104.5 Inches' is heavy duty, commercial grade and designed for use in semi-trailers to secure loads. But, in 10 minutes, it can easily be altered and turned into a brute of a cargo bar for any light truck bed. To do so: Remove the single bolt that secures the grip pad on the end furthest from the ratchet. Cut off approximately 2' of bar (measure for your specific application before cutting), drill a new hole for the grip pad, re-attached it and you're done. That's it. The company that's producing these is missing the boat by not offering the same bar in a shorter version for light trucks as an option. This bar should only be used in trucks with double-walled beds. This bar is over-kill for SUV's as the pressure of the end pads would damage soft interior panels.

Works as it should. bought the same bar i purchased back in 16” to replace the one that was accidentally left behind at a venue. price has almost doubled, but still worth the $.

I just received mine so cant talk about how well it holds up to weather. But i can see really nothing that weather could hurt on this. Other then maybe the iron parts and the sun could possibly wear out the rubber feet. I bought this for a service body truck that only has an interior width of 49”. Tie downs are not an option as they would interfere with loading plywood and such. So i bought this and cut it down. Took maybe 10 minutes to do. Now it has a adjustable length of 44”- about 59”. Which is perfect because it collapses far enough to fit in side tool box. This is a very solid bar.

I didn't read well enough to realize it was not made for truck bed. My fault but made sturdy and zi just cut it down so it fit and drilled new holes. Works like champ. I bought the one for truck bed and they're cheap made and not worth it. This is as advertised.

I use this often for my junk removal company to hold items up within the truck. These bars usually last me 9-12 months before they’ve bent completely from the weight.

I actually bought this for use with my chevy dually flatbed with wooden sides. Traditional pickup bed cargo bars are too short. This cargo bar for box vans and trailers worked. It was an inch too long so i cut little over an inch of the tube, opposite end of the locking lever, and put the lad back on with a new hole for the bolt. Works just fine. Great in tool to have so items don’t slide around while driving.

I bought this item instead of the other popular bars that have cheap ratcheting mechanisms. This bar is miles ahead of the others in both design and quality. Very heavy duty! I cut it down to be able to use it in my S10 and my father in laws Dodge Ram. Works great, very happy with both price and functionality.
