SSD drives are fast but when you come from a mechanical hard drive, you notice the difference. The operating system loads in under a minute from cold boot. This product works well and I expect it to be very reliable. You can format it and have it work with any OS. Worth every penny

Great ssd, very fast, stays cool, good price I think. The ssd has a metal plate which should increase its durability and I fell it is good build quality. I will continue to use crucial ssds in the future. They look great in my pc aswell

I bought this to replace a failed SSD in a Mac Mini dock. The Crucial is so much faster than the drive it replaced ever was. So far it's been reliable, holding my music library and serving as a scratch disk for video editing with no hang-ups, no glitches, and no problems.My only issue was that it didn't want to fit into the dock and I had to force it a little. The other drive slipped in and our easily. Not sure if the other drive was slightly undersized or what, but it's a minor quibble and I'm already much happier with this drive than I ever was with the old one.

Great budget friendly backup storage drive. Works great as a backup drive, but wouldn't recommend as a primary. Purchased to backup my phones storage and offload old footage from one of my other drives that was getting full. The drive has poor endurance and doesn't not like large file transfers or long write times. Copying ~900GB of data to it took over an hour.

I bought this to replace my sluggish hard drive. I was going to buy it from my local computer store, but Amazon was selling it for $10 cheaper.Once I got the drive and the SATA cord, I went to the Crucial website and followed their directions and downloaded their software (Acronis). For my 1TB drive, it took about 2-1/2 hours to clone my old drive and then about ten minutes to install it on my computer. (Mine is a Dell Inspiron 3275 All in One.)The speed is off the wall. In the past, it would take about a minute or two for the system to boot up. Now, it takes roughly 15 seconds, if not less. All of my programs open up in a blink of an eye.If I remember correctly, I bought Crucial's RAM modules (8GB x 2) they've been working very just fine. I highly recommend this drive.

I bought this drive to upgrade from a HDD in a Dell Inspiron 3668. It worked flawlessly with the sabrent 2.5" SSD & SATA hard drive to desktop 3.5" bay bracket. Easy cloning process with Clonezilla and Rufus, it makes a massive difference. What was a 5+ minute boot time is now 20 seconds!
