Delicious!
Been on a hunt for great clam chowder to just heat and eat and this fits the bill deliciously! Whether we thin with stock or milk (or a combo), this soup delivers the rich, unctuous, not-too-clammy soup we've been looking for.

Best canned soup I’ve ever had
I was with a friend shopping at Whole Foods and they told me to try it. I was reluctant as I hate canned soup. Wow was I surprised. Best ever. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it available in bulk on amazon. Great deal!

Bah Harbor Clam Chowdah is pretty god stuff
I have compared Bar Harbor New England clam chowdah against Progresso and Campbell's. Bar Harbor is as good as the others; they are all comfort foods for a chilly night. My main objection is that all the commercial clam chowders are really potato chowders with some clams thrown in. I often open a separate can of chopped clams and add it to the soup. But none are quite as good as a homemade clam chowder with whole clams. Also, flour-induced thickness is overprized in these soups. Potatoes themselves don't add this kind of thickness. I would prefer more clams, fewer potatoes, and much less flour

Disappointed
Not the best quality. Condensed means thin. Not chunky as others on market. Not creamy. Sorry disappointed

A well-chosen gift for a friend
I ordered this clam chowder as a Christmas gift for a friend. He had it for supper the day after the package arrived and said it was very good. One is always happy to hear when a gift is well-liked. He and his family grew up visiting New England and he loves seafood

Clam chowder better than I get in the grocery store

Dented cans
All of the cans were dented, some worse than others. The Chowder was ok but nothing to make me reorder especially due the condition that the cns arrived.

The can looks impressive on counter. I supplemented to pass off as the real thing.
You get what you pay for. This a good base for something that needs some added clams and fresh celery to perk it up. I also added Old Bay seasoning and served in a shell of cheap pizza dough that I heated in oven and then placed in the soup bowl while it was still pliable. Neighors raved that it reminded them of their trip to Maine; maybe they were just being kind.
