There are many knives names LAGUIOLE, but the ones from Jean Dubost that are made in France, are surely the best! The knives cut VERY WELL. There is a unique serration on the blade . . watch for that when you are shopping for these knives. In my own research the serration on these particular knives sets them apart from the others. The handles appear to be delicate but they are strong. It's possible that some people will prefer more bulk in the handle, that perhaps a bigger handle will be easier to hold. But when I press my index finger on the "bee" as I cut, I have perfect control over the knife.

LOVE these knives! They are beautifully made. They feel like mother-of-pearl. Very well balanced and heavier than the cheap ones with the same design. Extremely sharp blades.....no problem with steaks at all. I put them in the top rack of my dishwasher. These would make a wonderful gift!

The originals were not serrated and stayed very sharp for long periods. Attractive and well worth the cost. I purchased this new, color matching set to supplement her old set. We anticipate that the new serrated blades will also stay equally sharp.

I purchased these based on a recommendation from a food blogger I follow, & I couldn’t be happier! I’ve bought so many steak knives in the past that just don’t work well. We liked these so much that we bought them as a gift for some relatives for Christmas. Terrific design as well.

Cut well, nice looking and durable

We were introduced to these knives while on a cruise ship staying in "The Haven". LOVE them! They cut well, and the "Bee" where your pointer finger rests to cut is so Cute! I hope they hold up for years to come!
