This toaster has such a smooth glide when you push down the lever, it's a real pleasure to start your toast in the morning. And if you did it too early, the "re-heat" feature is great, without toasting it too much over again. The crumb tray pulls out the back for easy cleaning. Also, the toaster is heavy enough, sitting on rubber legs, that it never pitches forward or slips when you turn it on. It's the most gorgeous, fabulous, cheerful looking toaster ever. I'm so glad I bought this one, and not a cheaper version. This elegant one will last forever, and I'll never get tired of looking at it!18 months later; Is it possible for a toaster to break your heart? Well this one is doing just that. I'm stunned to see that I never submitted the review I'd written, but maybe it was meant to be. So others wouldn't have also wasted $80! This is the world's most gorgeous toaster. The stainless finishes are more like chrome, it's so shiny and the red is a beautiful gloss finish as well. Everything about it is gorgeous. Except the toast! It was always a bit slow...but then you had to turn the setting in high to get more than just warm bread. It's barely toasting at all now. I've wasted two days now, reading thousands of reviews of toasters, trying to decide on another one. I'm in toaster hell! I just want THIS ONE. I'm returning one today that stinks so bad I'm sure all the toxic chemicals of China are in it. Help!

I've had this toaster for 4 years now. I've only kept it because it was too expensive to just give up on too quickly. So, I tried to work around it's dysfunctional personality. But I've finally decided I just need to get rid of this damn thing. I'm tired of my toast shooting out and flying across the counter. I'm tired of it taking a very long time to produce an unevenly cooked piece of toast, I'm tired of the bagel setting not actually doing anything different than regular setting and I'm tired of a lift function that barely lifts. It gets two stars only because it's beautiful and it does produce toast.

I've had this toaster for 5 months and I am totally pleased with it. It looks great and does the job perfectly. I particularly like the sturdiness of the construction and the fact that the sides only feel warm instead of too hot to touch that you get with the cheaper stainless models. A little more expensive but definitely worth it.

Just got this toaster and found that no matter what setting it burned toast. Down to the lowest setting the toast was eatable but toasted uneven. Returning it for replacement. We will see how toaster #2 works. It is made in China so maybe a quality control issue.

So far, this toaster has been perfectly fine. After my last toaster died (a KitchenAid that lasted only a couple of years) I read lots of reviews that led me to ask if any toaster is any good. So, I bought this with trepidation. I haven't had it long enough to know whether it will outlive its predecessor, but so far so good. It toasts evenly, accommodates bagels of various thickness and looks good. I have banished everything bagels from the toaster, since I suspect that all the little bits and pieces caramelize and mess up the sensors. Like other reviewers, I found it annoying that there were basically no instructions to tell you that the bagel setting toasts the side facing out, instead of facing in (which was the case with my previous toaster and think is probably standard). I don't really eat bagels and my kids just thought this was a feature of the new toaster, that the bagel wasn't really toasted but just sort of dried out, LOL.

It looks beautiful but it honestly does not toast both sides equally. I tried frozen waffles, toast, and bagels. The bagels barely fit. I guess I have the biggest challenge with the frozen waffles. It's expensive and cheaper products might actually work better. Great study material and pretty but I'm not happy with the product.

I unpacked it and said: Holy sh*t cake on a shingle. I'm not even sure what that means, but that's how pretty this toaster is. Not sure if I want to use it or worship it. But... Damn! It's georgeous!!Apart from being georgeous, the toaster works well - it has various settings (defrost, bagel, reheat), making it also very useful. It makes me smile every time I use it :-)

Not only has this red toaster become a focal point in the kitchen, but most importantly, it is used daily. The different settings make it very easy and safe to use for toast, bagels, waffles etc..Because the top part of the metal frame does get quite hot, I am using small bamboo tongues to take the toast out.I would buy this toaster again and highly recommend it.

Had the same toaster (different color though) previously in different country - very happy to have it again. Quick shipment added to a complete enjoyment!
