Engaging and a quiet escape
I loved this book. The characters were terrific, and there is even a moment of comeuppance for the "villain" of the story. The Tour is what I like to call comfort reading.

A wonderful story
MS Granger tells a story in such a way that leaves you no choice but to allow her to captivate and pull you into the pages until you feel you are silently part of the story.

Really Is A Feel Good Book!
This really was a delightful book. The characters were all so quirky and interesting and the writing style was terrific. Although the likelihood of all of this really happening is pure fantasy, it was really fun to read and leaves you with a good feeling about people and the fun of tour traveling.

Anyone who has gone on tours would know...
In the summer of 2022, I went on an Ultimate Ireland Tour. Anyone who has ever gone on a tour would recognize some of the personalities in this book. On a bus tour, you will always have that one person or couple who has to have the front seat. The one who perceives herself as a glamor girl. You will have the loud complainers. And there are actually many, many nice people on tours. In close quarters in a bus, you can't help but know each other's business. That being said, it's almost as this author has gone on tours. The tour guide, Conor O'Shay has done enough tours he's good at reading people and solving their problems. We are introduced to him and the cast of characters along on his tour. Sit back and enjoy, this is one of the better books in the series. Also, since my tour is still fresh in my mind, I can almost see the places Conor is taking his guests. So I am relieving my tour through this book.

Wasn't sure.......
Wasn't sure I was going to like this book as it is not my usual genre but I gave it a try and loved it!

Great Story
I love Ireland, and I myself have been an tour escort, so I approached this book with "ok, let's see...". It was so much more! There were 9 passengers in the van (an upscale tour instead of the usual 52 people on the bus.) Plus the driver. Each person was given lots of attention by the author, so the reader got to know them well. They were all so different that all the personal stories were interesting. In addition, there were other people around, and the environment of Ireland got a lot of attention. I really enjoyed this story.

Real feel good read
I loved this book! When I started it, I was reminded of Maeve Binchy 's books. It flows easily, the characters are well described, and I really loved the story. Once I got into it, I couldn't put it down, and I wanted it to end well. My only criticism is it is a bit unrealistic, even if it is a happy ending. The transformation of Dorothy 's character is too sudden . However, my feeling is that it is a real feel good read. Jean Grainger's love of Ireland, Irish people and the belief that there is good in everyone shines through. It's a lovely book.

Lessons to learn
I loved this book. The first one I have read from this author and I promptly borrowed the second one in the series. The truths about Ireland were very well presented and the characters were interesting and real. Wish lockdown would end and I could visit the area. I am in the UK but loved the information given about the Irish struggle as in some ways the arguments are still going on although thankfully more subtle. The storylines were interesting and fascinating.A totally worthwhile read.

Enjoyably Irish!!
Really enjoyed this book - very readable and although I’ve only been to Ireland three times i felt it summed up nicely what I loved about the country. I couldn’t quite give it 5 stars as I felt the characters, although likeable and fun, were a bit cliched and their happy endings (tho very nice) just a little too neat. But I’ll certainly be reading the next Conor O’Shea book and hope there’ll be a few more!!

The Tour was my favourite. I was expecting something different and less meaty ...
I downloaded one of Jean Grainger's books onto my Kindle as it was either free or very cheap but I can honestly say that her writing is anything by cheap! Out of the 4 books of her's that I read one after the other, The Tour was my favourite. I was expecting something different and less meaty but the story was a delight from start to finish. Each member of the group stood out in my mind very clearly and the interaction between them all was very well written. I hope that Jean will be writing some more books along this vein as I am now totally addicted to reading about the Irish revolution and how it played out and also about modern times in those lovely rural areas around West Cork. More, more more!

gentle read
The characters in this story are believable and the authors knowledge impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the individuals and can’t help but wonder if a coach trip would be this incident and relationship packed. Recommend a good feel good book.
