Good screws, must drill a pilot hole
I bought these screws to install new boards on a trailer. For the price and amount, it's perfect. The fasteners are of good quality and have a protective coating which is nice and hope they last longer.I'd give it a 5 Star rating, but the problem is I had self tapper/self cutting screws cut through metal faster than this. I went through atleast 10-15 screws that dulled the ends out before I decided to start drilling pilot holes. Once that was done, installation of these screws were an absolute breeze. They do the job and they look good on new lumber. I'd definitely will recommend these to anyone re-decking their trailer. Just drill pilot holes through the board and metal.

Excellent Screws For A Good Parice
We had three Sunbrealla-covered awnings that rotted away and the replacement cost is now exorbitant, to say the least. Now we are left with three awning pipe frames and what to do about it, the dear wife came up with replacing the fabric with 1"x2" wood slats and the picture shows the beautiful and durable result.Used 312 of these very high-quality, self-drilling screws at an acceptable price. Each slat required 4 screws which we predrilled both the wood slat and the pipe with a 3/32" drill bit. We decided to pre-drill for each screw because going into a rounded pipe would not be possible. The wood now penetrated and served as a guide to the screw tip going into the pipe, which might otherwise slip around. Worked out beautifully but had to set the drill chuck cam out at (stop drilling) number 12, otherwise the screw would go in too far into the wood. Highly suggest you practice a dozen times or so to get used to this type of screwing or you may get bad results here and there in your project.Have a bunch of screws left over but the price for them was very good anyway.

Nothing screwy about these
I purchased a 4x8 utility trailer that was in need of a new floor. The previous owner used a 4x8 sheet of ply wood and some carriage bolts to hold it in place. After looking online trying to figure out what to do about a new floor I decided to use individual "planks" and how to hold them in place. After watching some Youtube videos as well these screws came highly recommended. The added bonus of not needing to pre drill holes was nice.As of now I have not used any of the screws but after the holiday, Memorial Day. I plan on installing the decking and will update with my results.!!

Worked pretty well
Just used about 80 of these replacing the floor in a trailer. They worked pretty good but had about 10 screws that would just not go through the metal. They are very hard and didn’t strip any of them out. I’ve used screws that drilled through the metal a little easier than these. Had to use a corded drill because my battery drills just couldn’t spin them fast enough to go through the steel supports.

Great!
Built a trailer. These worked well to screw 1 1/8" plywood to 1/8" mild steel. But they were only barely long enough. They would NOT be long enough for 1 1/4" decking, just a heads up. They drove well with a common t25 torn bit. While it was possible to just drive them in with an impact driver, I found it easier to pre drill all the holes with either a 3/16" or 11/64" drill bit and then pre counter sink them just a little bit aswell. If you plan on going through thicker steel I would definitely predrilled and also lubricate the first 1/2" of threads with oil to help them cut easier. I would definitely buy these again

Great product!
These worked like a charm. I used for attaching treated lumber to a steel trailer frame. I was going into a lot of weld joints so I ended up predrilling a lot of my holes. Where there was no weld to go thru I had no issues using a impact driver with these. I will say that wet treated lumber will clog the screw a little bit but that is to be expected imo.

Must pre-drill hole
I purchased the 14/2-3/4 " and the 14/3-1/4" for re-decking my trailer. I tries without predrilling but found the chisel tip either broke off or rounded off. I had to predrill the holes to start the screws. I use a 5/32 " but had to ream the holes out with a dull 7/32". I think a couple of 7/32' cobalt bits will handle the task. Also, I used a DeWalt 20V impact driver to start the screws then a ratchet to snug them up. I did use a counter sink bit, but it gummed up a lot from the "wet" PT lumber I used.I would buy these again.
