Amazing Headset??? I Think So!!!
For Starters...I LOVE this headset. Previously I used a Turtle Beach X11 that I bought new in 2010. It was a great headset for my Xbox360 and even though I had put it through its paces and some unneeded abuse, it served me well. I only replaced it because it had a very annoying humming sound all the time that developed in its later year or so. So I set off on my search for the optimal headset that didn't sacrifice comfort for functionality. I started with the Turtle Beach brand since I had enjoyed my last pair a lot. After sorting through the various price points and features I had found a couple that I had liked. Now just before I sold my Xbox I had purchased a pair of Turtle Beach X32 and was less than pleased. For a wireless headset, it ate batteries every time I blinked, and the headset itself squeezed my head to the point I would get headaches after 20-30 minutes of use. So as I found a couple of TB headsets I like the look and features of I set off to Google and YouTube for reviews. After watching several reviews and reading a lot of forums I began to see a common trend in these new TB headsets...they all squeezed your head. Having seen all that information I wrote off TB from my list of headsets and set off to find the next latest and greatest. This brings me to my next point, you know, the one you've been waiting to hear. I did a lot of Google searching over several days on comparable headsets to the TB headsets I had liked. I also, just for reference, search the best/top gaming headsets for PC to get a feel where each headset I could afford fell in the rankings. All these search lead to me Logitech. Now Logitech has been a main contender in the gaming market for a while and in general for longer than that, so I was not surprised to see a lot of god feedback coming from customers. I too was a Logitech user, a steering wheel that I absolutely love because of its craftsmanship and overall quality. So I began to narrow my field down to around $100 and see what I could get in the price range. I started comparing various Logitech headsets against each other and other brands. 9 out of 10 times, the Logitech headset came out on top. So Logitech it was...but which one, the g430, the g35, or the wireless g930? So I simply compared them against each other and almost every review I read had the g930 coming out on top unless wireless was not your style then the g35 was the victor. Being a fan of a non-cluttered desk and being very anal retentive about my cable management I dug into the reviews both text and YouTube, for the g930. Was the mic quality good? Did they feel comfortable on my head? How about the batteries, did they last? Everything I found was positive so I ordered them...then canceled my order, reviewed another few vids and reordered them...yes, I had second thoughts not 5 minutes after I ordered them the first time. Thanks to my Prime membership and a stroke of good luck, they arrived the next day, and I didn't pay for overnight shipping!!!! I'm impatient and love to test my new toys as soon as I get them, so I wasted no time setting them up for use. The packaging itself was great, they call it frustration free packaging. None of that heat pressed plastic garbage, cut a couple pieces of tape and slid everything right out. Plugged the sweet USB/charging hub into my computer and powered them on. The drivers self-installed and following the advise of several reviews, I downloaded the Gaming Software that allows you to make changes to the profiles. Now the sound test, I slapped on Spotify and cranked out the tunes. They sounded great! So onto a game to test the surround. So I wasn't very pleased with the surround, everyone talking sounded like they were talking into a tin can, and overall the sound quality wasn't that great, but flip it back to stereo and everything sounded amazing. So how long would this battery last? Well out of the box I got about 2 hours out of it before I had to charge them...but I was in the middle of a gaming session with my friends. No worries, the play and charge feature worked flawlessly. With the headset plugged in, it felt like a typical wired headset thanks to the angled charging cord that pushed the bulk of the cable out away from my head. In about 3 hours, while still using them heavily, I was fully charged and ready to ditch the cable. So how long did the battery last? Well, playing games, talking to my friends in a chat service and streaming music all at once, I got about 5-6 hours out of it. So it was a little short of the 10 hours Logitech claims but I also had a lot of sounds and there time frame even says "Up To 10 Hours" depending on what you're doing. So the mic? Well I asked my friends how I sounded and they said fine, so I recorded myself a little message and played it back, sounded just fine. One thing I loved about my TB headsets was the voice monitoring, which kept me from getting noiseless syndrome, when your yell into a mic because you can't hear how loud you are talking. So how would this work for the g930? Easy, remember the gaming software I mentioned earlier? You simply turn up the side tone volume on the sound menu to your desired level and you can hear yourself so you don't scream. Well If you made it this far you are obviously genuinely interested in my opinion on this headset so I suppose I will now spill the beans. I am in love with this headset. The fit, the form, the build quality, sound quality, overall use friendliness of them is great. Sure the software could use some tweaking but we're not hear to discuss software. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, if you are looking for a great wireless or even just a great headset around $100, then I would strongly recommend these. Plus with Logitech's 3 year limited warranty, you have 3 years for any defects to surface and they will fix them. I hope this review has helped you make a decision on your headset.

The Best Headset I've Ever Had
I have a friend who has used this headset for about 3 years now I believe and so I was convinced to purchase one for myself when my old headset gave out. I've used it for over a week now and I really love this headset. A quick look at what I use it for; gaming (mmo's, various Steam games), listening to music, watching movies, chatting on Skype. Below is a little more information on my opinion of the G930. I'll outline a few pros and cons for those of you still on the fence: Pros: Comfort: Headset is light enough that once you wear it for a while you begin to forget it's there. Does not touch my ears except for the slightest feather touch on the very edges, just enough to realize you're wearing a headset until you're distracted by something. Good adjustment options to move and shape to fit your head. Noise cancelling is very good, all noises are well muffled by headset design and helps, especially in gaming, to achieve that immersion into the world you're playing in. Ease of use: Only took a minute of reading the quick start guide to understand the features and what the light indicators mean; the Logitech Gaming Software isn't too hefty a program and it's handy to use to tell you just how long your battery has and for programming your headset. Roll button for volume on the headset left side is genius, easy to to quickly change volume. Performance: Sound is fantastic, the surround sound demo on the Logitech Gaming Software scared the daylights out of me with its realistic sounds; this headset is only limited by the quality of the input it receives. The bass actually sounds like bass too, which is another plus. Mic sounds great, keystrokes are muffled but voice comes through crystal clear even without adding background noise cancellation. Cons: Auto-shutoff: This was going to be the thing that knocked a couple stars off my rating, but my friend gave me a tip about how to fix it and it's been a lifesaver. The problem is that the auto-shutoff only allows the headset to stay on for maybe 15 to 20 minutes at a time. It seems to be quite determined to shut itself off whether you like it or not, no matter what you're doing. This was very annoying straight off, as I would have to scramble to find the small button to press and hold slightly to turn the headset back on, and in the mean time I was missing something. The fix I spoke of requires a bit more than the average computer user will do in their normal interaction with a computer, but it was simple enough and fixed the problem. Now, if the headset does decide to shut off, it comes right back on again; occasionally not even shutting off at all. Not enough to knock off a star since there is a fix, but certainly a frustrating con as a new owner. Battery Life: I wish this could be a pro, but it's a con because although the headset does run on battery for a good long while, I do find myself somewhat confused at the inconsistencies I've noticed. While the Logitech Gaming Software does give relatively accurate battery usage in real time, right now, as I write this, my has gone from 10 hours remaining, to 8 hours remaining, and it has only been 15 minutes. Now, this could be due to the fact that it was not fully charged to begin with, however, I do find that a bit odd. I have, however, used it for quite a few hours before it alerted me it needed to be charged, so all in all I really can't complain too much. Charging: This is more of a pet peeve, but for some reason I have a real whale of a time getting the charger cord plugged into the headset to charge it. I fumble and fuss, usually taking the headset off my head and glaring at the cord trying to figure out which way it goes in, since it only plugs in one way. Occasionally the planets align perfectly at just the right moment and I pop the cord in without batting an eye (or taking off the headset), thankfully it's become slightly easier now that I'm getting the hang of it. Honestly I can't think of anything else that I would consider a con. I really love this headset and I hope to have it for years to come, just like my friend has. If you're still not sure, it's not terribly expensive, and I promise if you're using a wired headset that you're going to love going wireless, and the sound is fantastic!

"Muss man Sourround hören?"

The Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 is a very nice headset with no wires that suffers from no noticeable lag and works for everything from gaming to watching movies. The G930 isn't cheap, but the good stuff rarely is.

So I've been looking for a replacement headset for some time, I love the G930s as they're comfortable, reliable, have fantastic surround sound and most importantly, are wireless. I ordered these on 16th of August, at half the price of other refurb units, the only downside was the expected delivery date was 16th September, a very long wait, but I'd put up with my spare headset for a few weeks already, what was a few more. On 19th August I had a knock on my door, thinking it was my house mate having locked himself out again, I trundled downstairs in my dressing gown to look bleary-eyed at a postman. "Package for Tom . . ." clearly he was as shocked by my hairy, pale ankles as I was by his presence. He handed over a large brown paper package with my name on the front of it. Given I'd ordered some spare ear pads (as I spend a lot of time wearing my headsets), I expected to open the package and find them. Cue my giddy surprise. A gleaming, black pair of G930s restored to nigh on immaculate condition. Almost unable to contain my surprise, I swiftly plugged them in back at my PC and was transported into long lost territory with glorious surround sound, a built-in micro phone and most importantly (given my house mate) a high degree of noise cancellation.

I really love my G930. The other reviews are accurate. My experience with the range is about 30-50 feet before it starts cutting out. Batterly life is about 8 hours fully charged, and it takes about 3 hours to charge. YOU DONT NEED THE SOFTWARE. I actually used my first pair of these for almost 2 years without installing the software that came with. I now have 2 of these headsets and i swap them out when the battery runs down. Yes, I will use them for 8+ hours straight, almost every day. You can literally go to the bathroom while being on skype/gaming. If you're playing league of legends and you're in champion select, you can go to the bathroom and hear when the game is starting so you don't miss anything. The mic boom auto-mutes the mic when you flip it up. So if your girlfriend comes over and wants to talk, just flip up the boom so your friends don't hear you. This is an amazingly underrated feature. Sound quality is as good as anything else on the market, mic is great. OK so the only fault i would say is durability of construction. It's made of plastic so if you drop it a bunch on hardwood floor, it will eventually break -- especially the mic boom. So basically, don't drop them too much. Also the sound effects are gimmicky and you'll get tired of them after about 10 mins (except the darth vader one). But you seriously aren't buying them for the sound effects.
