Endless Fun for Family Dance Parties
Just Dance 4 on the Wii has been a total hit for my family! My son and I absolutely loved playing it together—it’s easy enough for beginners but still challenging enough to keep it fun for older kids and adults. The motion controls work well, and the songs are upbeat and perfect for getting everyone moving. We especially enjoyed competing to see who could get the highest score and trying out the multiplayer modes. It’s a great way to get some exercise while having a blast indoors, especially on rainy days or when you want a fun activity together. Helpful Tip: Clear a bit of space in the living room and use the wrist straps for the Wii remotes—this makes gameplay safer and more enjoyable. Also, keep a water bottle handy; you’ll definitely work up a sweat! If you’re looking for a family-friendly game that’s fun, energetic, and gets everyone laughing, Just Dance 4 is a perfect choice.

Best.Game.Ever.
Okay, so I'm biased. I'm a dancer and I always have been. Even so, this game is excellent. In my opinion, it's the best release in the Just Dance series to date. You can easily go look up the song list from the games, so I won't waste your time with that. Let me just point out some of the differences between this and previous editions of Just Dance: --Workout Mode: There is no "Just Sweat" to turn on during the normal dances. They've replaced it with a separate workout section where you can choose a 10, 25, or 45 minute workout which consists of several fitness sessions set to music, broken up by songs from the actual game. The songs are selected by the way you move in the fitness sessions: cool or intense. There's also a calorie counter, which is definitely convenient. --Dance Quests: Instead of broad overarching objectives for the game, each song has its own list of goals for you to meet. Once you complete them all, the song selector turns gold. Big improvement, in my opinion. --There's no Simon-Says mode or speed shuffle. Also, shuffle no longer has the option to skip songs. Bit of a downer, but not enough to lower my opinion of the game. --Alternate Versions: Not only can you unlock mash-up versions of the game, but now there are also alternate versions of some of the dances, typically marked extreme--and for good reason! Difficult, but no doubt fun for anyone who enjoys a good physical challege. --Dancer Cards: Ever wonder how good you actually were at Just Dance? Now you don't have to! Dancer cards keep track of everything you do in the game. It logs the time you've spent playing, the calories you've burned in workout mode, your favorite dances, average number of stars, and your dance style. Plus, there's a bunch of fun avatars to choose from. Fabulous update. I think that covers the most significant differences and updates. For the past several weeks, I've played the game every day. Yep, it's that good. Long story short, if you like dancing and you like the Wii, get it.

They keep getting better!
I received the wii as a gift and with it, Just Dance 1 and 2. From there I purchased Just Dance 3 and 4 because these games are just so fun. I love to dance and dancing to the songs I love from the radio etc. is just SO MUCH FUN! They are motivating me to lose weight and stay active. The games keep improving with different options, fun songs, ways to unlock songs etc. I Just Dance everyday for part of my workout and switch between all 4. The fourth one is nice because it has these cute little Just Sweat sections where you can choose between 10,25, and 45 minutes to workout. Then you can pick which theme of workout you want (space adventure, cheerleader camp, electro etc.) and then you do a warm up. After the warm up, you get a song depending on how you did on the warm up (the more active and better you are, the more intense the next song is). After the song, there is another themed workout. The intensity of the workouts also depend on how well you did on the song before. The Just Sweat switches back and forth between real just dance songs and mini workouts for the duration you initially chose. There is also a cool down which I love! The songs are harder than Just Dance 1-3 but I love it for that reason! I have not gotten tired of 4 yet and I use it A LOT! :)

Great Game, Not a Huge Improvement Though...
My wife and I first played Just Dance 3 at a family gathering a few months ago and thought it was great fun, especially for social events. I got her this for Christmas and it's been a great time since. Basically, with the Wii, you move your hand with the controller in the same motions as the dancer's colored hand on the screen. That's really all you have to do, for the most part, but it's hard not to get in to it and do all motions. My wife and I really like the excerisize you get from playing this for 20 or 30 minutes. Upsides... -This version sports a couple of different modes including: regular "career-like" mode, battle, non-stop and excersize mode. -The game comes with about 30 - 40 songs and offers a bunch of unlockable features as you progress in levels. Should take anyone quite a while to perfect all of the songs. -The graphics are fun and gameplay is pretty straightforward...you do what the dancer on the screen does and get better scores as you get better at following the moves. The downsides... -There really aren't a whole lot of improvements over past versions. The concepts are still the same with a few more features and different, but similar, song types. -There are very few new DLC dances for this version at the moment. Maybe 6 or 7 at most. And each individual song is $3! That's a lot of money for one more dance, especially when you consider the fact that each song costs that much. -I don't think you can unlock new dances by leveling, only features, modes and possibly add-ons to currently owned dances. -This games seems to try to make a lot of very minimalistic and useless features seem like big, revolutionary ideas. In reality, this game doesn't really sport any new, groundbreaking ideas or technology. It's the "nth" version of a cool dance game, that's all. -Both my wife and I agree that the song selection is very much geared toward younger people that listen to the radio. We would like to see more old, popular songs from the 70's, 80's and 90's. I have no idea what a P!nk or a Flo Rida is, nor do I really want to dance to their music. Past version seemed to have much cooler artists. In conclusion, I definitely think that the 30 or so dollars I paid for this was the max. If it were any more I would say to pass on it and wait for it to come down a bit. However, the game is fun just like the last few versions. Get the family and friends off the couch and get them moving. They'll have a good time.

A Fabulous Game!
This one is super fun. I even used one of the dance routines as my dance with my son and his friends at my wedding. So much enjoyment with this one.

Awesome for exercise
The Just Dance series is very good, and each version has been an improvement over the last. Just Dance 4 has awesome features that I love. First, when playing in Just Dance mode you can choose which dancer you want to play in duets or dance crews. This is great, I got tired of doing the same dancer over and over in some of the previous games when I was playing the game by myself. Second, the Just Sweat mode is greatly improved. I could choose from three time options (10, 25, or 45 mins). Having just done about 30 mins of regular play, I choose 10 to see how it went. Once started, there was a warm up and at the end there was a cool down, both are greatly needed when exercising. The work out also determined how I was doing when choosing the next song, I am happy to say that all my songs were intense. It also kept track of the calories burned. So, the most important things to me in my workouts is knowing how long I've done the actual exercise for (it didn't keep the time going when I wasn't dancing), and how many calories I've burned, and Just Dance 4 finally provides me with those numbers while keeping the workout fun. Can I burn more calories doing some other workout game like ExerBeat (huge fan), yes, but Just Dance 4 is way more fun and right now, fresh. It will be a regular part of my weekly workouts. Plus, the music is just plain awesome, I loved doing the Time Warp in Just Dance mode.

KEPT THEM HAPPY AND BUSY!
Got this for my daughter's 16th birthday slumber party and wasn't sure if it was too 'babyish' for her - BUT the girls loved it! They all got up early (after a very late night), had their chai lattes and boogied some more! A big hit and great exercise. If you love to dance and need some motivation to exercise, I think this is a great idea... it got this 55 year old up off the couch! BTW, my daughter tells me this one is the best of the "Just Dance" series. A great variety of songs! Thanks for the great entertainment!

I wrecked my knee playing this
This is a really fun game. I got one for the family because a friend had brought a different version over one night and everyone had a great time playing it. I did 2 or 3 dances. It can be rather vigorous. Unfortunately, I wrecked my knee doing it. I am 57. Mostly much younger people were playing as well as my wife of 58 and they were fine. It clearly was just an unfortunate accident, but I thought it was worth mentioning to people that the possibility exists to pull muscles or worse. This is probably because one does a lot of movements you don't usually do. For example, I had been running 3 miles every other day for several years without any issues, but that is not a twisting movement. Anyway, you may want to be careful. I am nursing the knee along but it is a significant injury that has changed my mobility and ability to exercise as much as I would like.
