i absolutely love this notebook! the design is so cute and its super high quality for the price, its also the perfet size to throw in my bag so i can carry it around with me. the foiling is subtle but super pretty and the lines are light enough that you can easily draw over them if you like to doodle in journals

This Journal was exactly what I hoped it would be and that was because it matched everything in the description. It's not college ruled, one thing that should be in the description (something that I should take half a star off for), but I'll only use the lines as reference points, so I don't mind it as much. The most important thing to me is paper quality. I use all kinds of different mediums, but I prefer paper that will take my pens without bleeding. The paper has some grit, enough to take pencils easily, but so little it shouldn't get in the way ink. In a quick test, it took my fountain pen beautifully, which made me happier than I've been in a while. I've been displeased with moleskine for not living up to it's reputation. I've found a better notebook now, cheaper too. I wish the paper were plain, but the lines are so faint I care little. I ordered this to be my next diary, because I mind lines in my notebook. It was kind of a test to see if it could compete with moleskeine. I'd say that the lines are faint enough to use this as my notebook, with all the sketching and unruled note-taking I do, I just need one of their bigger styles (which I also order one for as a gift for my partner, and has lines just as faint). The binding looks like it'll hold up for quite the while. The signatures themselves are sewn, but it appears they're glued together. A step up from most books, which are glued together, signatures unfound. There are some customer's pictures here make the notebook appear it has a red tone. The one I received is just as it looks in the description. Everything considered, I am beyond pleased with the price and the quality, near disbelief actually.

This notebook is cute, mellow so it's not super in your face, and a perfect size for me to quickly put in my purse without it being bulky, getting in the way or feeling heavy. I use this to jot down notes, reminders, etc. when at work. I keep this sort of as my to go work notebook where I take it everywhere with me. If I'm being honest though I wish it was a bit thinner and maybe less pages although it just may be because the paper is thick. It's quite good quality paper better than I expected. There's no bleeding or seeing through the pages so it's great. A side cute thing about this notebook is there is a little pocket in the back of the notebook where you could maybe put some notes or anything in there too!

So cute!! I bought this as a birthday gift for my friend and she loveddd it. It didn't come damaged at all, and the texture and design of the cover was so pretty. Definitely worth your money! When you think of the "average" journal size it is just slightly smaller (not "small" though!), which I find perfect. The pages aren't thin, either - it feels like good quality paper. Taking the price into consideration, this product is just great.

First Peter Pauper Press Notebook I bought and I absolutely LOVE it. It's the perfect size to jot notes down on or have in your bag that doesn't take up to much room. The paper is think, creamy and lightly lined. I've even used fineliners and did not have bleeding or ghosting issues. The band keeps everything closed nice and tight and having the little pocket in the back is a nice added touch. The cover is well made, hard, durable and has a light texture with some shimmer to it that adds a flair of beauty to it. With the price under $5.00, due yourself a favor and buy a few of these. You wont regret it!! FYI I put the ribbon marker in there myself (found that on youtube).

I'm completely impressed with the quality of the cover on this little book--the photos here don't begin to do it justice! The shimmery silver metal embossed accents shine in any light, and the raised design looks and feels like something that cost far more. I admit to having only sought a bit of simple indulgence: I was tired of state-issued little notepads and Post-Its cluttering my desk at work, and just wanted something nicer sitting there waiting for me to jot down phone messages or quick memos. I do most of my work on my computer, so figured I could manage a pretty little journal instead just to feel nicer. So, despite originally thinking others might work better, I grabbed this one because it was less than $5--and I am absolutely amazed with what I got! Simple lined pages inside, but the paper feels fine, and I absolutely cannot wait to take it to work Monday morning and ditch the little scratchpads and Post-Its once and for all! I am thrilled with this purchase. (Note: The *only* thing I could find that was an issue at all was that it comes with a store-type sticker on the back. But that peeled off in a few seconds without leaving any residue, so I can't even call it a complaint.)

I agree with the other reviews. The cover is more beautiful than I imagined. There is a label on the back, but mine peeled off easily without leaving any marks. The paper quality is lovely, an off white colour with faint lines. The journal opens flat so it is easy to write on both sides of the page ;) There is a nice size pocket on the inside rear cover - nice for keepsakes. I highly recommend this journal. It reminds of the kind of journal you would expect to find in your Granny's belongings.....a real keepsake. I am looking forward to buying the others in the series!

The size description says A4 but its actually A5 much smaller

I bought this as a gift. I hope they will like it, I sure find it a gorgeous journal. And the delivery was great, 1 day earlier! All in all 5 stars experience!
