You may be looking here after seeing this in the frequently bought together section underneath the Aolemi wall mounted bathtub faucet after realizing this can be mounted to a tub and wondering if you really need it. Simple answer: If you have an antique clawfoot tub chances are high that you need it.Although we seemed sure of the measurements at the time I said 'Better safe than sorry' checked for anything cheaper (there are but you're also getting cheaper quality) before adding it to my chart, at best we would need it and have it and at worst we were down $24.99. We needed it and had it.I didn't install it personally but I'm told it was easy to install (faucet came with instructions and there are plenty of videos), it looks great, and no leaks, pressure is great and better than our old rod frame.

Worked perfect on old time claw foot tub. If I hadn’t ordered this piece the faucet would have not fit. You will need this piece to mount faucet directly on tub because the faucets I had purchased was a wall mount. Worked perfectly.

Works as advertised. I wish the decorative washers were a little thicker. They bent in when I tightened the nuts into place.

Unfortunately, I had to return it. At the time of installation of a new valve, we discovered that what was needed was an S-adapter with a 1" fine-threaded female in the long end and a 1" coarse-threaded male in the short end. These S-adapters are 3/4" and 1" coarse-threaded males at both ends.
