We found this book at our local library and we fell in love with it pretty much immediately. We had ordered our own copy before we had to return the library's and read it a lot for bedtime. Such a sweet book and even sweeter memory’s it will bring.

Perfect size and the book itself is just so darling

One of my favourite bookshops is Corrie Perkins' My Bookshop in Hawksburn, Melbourne. Alison Lester's new book was prominently displayed and I promptly bought it, as I am a great fan of Lester's work. Corrie wrapped it for me and my wife and I gave it to our youngest daughter, aged two, as a present. She loved it. We loved it. Our other daughter, aged four, loved it. We have now lent it to Charlotte's kindy teacher as well, to read aloud in class. We bought and read Lester's board books for both our daughters (Bibs and Boots, One Clucky Hen, etc). Word and picture combine so well in this author's work, and are so heart-felt, that both grown-ups and children feel happier after reading them. Never a false note. Highly recommended. Furthermore, the production value of this hardback edition is high and the pages are a delight to handle, to look at, to turn.
