Looks great. Super easy to write on! Super easy to erase, markers write beautifully! Functional and tough! I don’t think you could scratch this up if you tried! Great buy!

I have an aunt who is in the middle stages of dementia/Alzheimer’s. We would (both) like her to be as independent as long as possible. However, I have noticed that dementia patients (from research and observation) struggle with time, time management and have issues with their appetites (often forgetting to eat). She has fought against receiving prepared meals or meal prepping. I am hoping that this meal planner helps her to address eating. One thing I like about it is that it is a dry-erase board that captures a week of meals. You can plan your weeks for a meal, adding the ingredients needed/grocery list (Creating a list becomes a challenge for them because their taste buds begin to change. She only seems to crave sweets). This board can be secured by magnets and attached to the front of the refrigerator. It comes with several colored chalk markers in white, blue, red and green. There is even a spot for notes. All I can do is try. Hopefully, this continues to be a helpful tool.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Worth it for the price. Easy to clean. Is magnetic, so it went right on my fridge. Markers have magnets in caps, so they can go on the fridge right next to menu. Only suggestion, buy more markers. Had mine for 3 months and 2 of the markers do not write anymore. Other 2, are perfectly fine. Colors show up great on this as well. You can plan out you weekly meals. Smaller section for other things you might need other than for dinners. Take a picture of it and go shopping. Makes planning my week so much easier.

Originally I was going to get one of the white boards but review after review, and my own experience proved that I'd just end up with ink shadows on it sooner rather then later. So I decided to go for this black board with the chalk markers to help keep it looking tidy for years to come. Its been great - there's enough room to write a couple of lines per day, there's spaces for additional notes and reminders - things like DEFROST the ROAST!!! The chalk markers work well but you do really have to shake them very, very well the first time and then very well every time after that. The red is the most tempermental, it can streak a bit more then the other colors but all of them work well. Clean up is easy also - damp paper towel will do it, we usually use the one we just dried our hands off with. This menu board will look good and keep you on schedule.

Like I’ve seen others post, some of the markers do not work well. My red and green hardly show up but the white and blue are vibrant and bright. This was the most aesthetically pleasing menu I found and it’s been great for organizing meals, so I’m still giving 5 stars because the price was cheap and still less than I would’ve paid for others similar without the included markers.

Initially, I LOVED this product. The markers were bright and not streaky at all. After a couple days of having it, and not even using the markers but once, they seem to have dulled out quite a bit. So, I've opted to shake them before each use and to store them upside down. We'll see how that fares, but for now, they're significantly less bright. The board itself is surprisingly thick which I LOVE. Very sturdy. Organization is good. The "lunch" portion in the picture was the first thing written, and as you can see, no streaks and just gorgeous in color. The "McDonald's" was the second time using the same blue pen, so... you see how it holds up. Same thing with the other colors (I haven't tried white yet). Overall, I really do like the product. Makes life much easier.UPDATE: After having this awhile, I've noticed some things. The pens really are streaky and dull quite fast even after shaking and storing them upside down.If you have nails, be careful, because you'll probably dent the board itself. It's not a great product, but it's not absolutely terrible. Probably wouldn't recommend unless they fix the marker issue
