I finally got around to installing the artificial grass I bought back in June. I set the edges with the 6" nails. I found you could see the heads of the shinny nail heads in the grass. I switched to these staples to hold the joints between chunks of grass. If you tap these staples in, in the same direction as the grass is laying, you can make these staples, and the joined seams literally disappear. I ended up using these staples through out the rest of my 540 sq. foot artificial grass project around my pool. They are not made out of stainless steel, and I prefer that they are made out of sturdy steel. They will eventually get a coating of rust. The roughness will make even less visible, and make them hold even better. The coating on the staples is to stop them from rusting in the package. I would highly recommend these staples to hold grass or weed barrier down. They drive into regular soil very easily, and hold the material down firmly.

The items are sturdy enough but what I did not appreciate were the items are displayed as shipped in a box. They are not. The items were crammed into a bag and were not shipped in a box as depicted. Also unsure of the metal used. It is definitely not stainless steel and there is the obvious question of what kind of metal is this made from. This material is made from something which leaves a residue on your hands when working with it. It is not the same kind of residue you get from aluminum and feels much heavier than aluminum. Hopefully it does not have any lead in it. I wouldn't order it again.

My husband used these to lay down a weed barrier from the same vendor, prior to laying down wood chips. He said they went in easy and he preferred them to the last, similar, product that we purchased for a former project. We ordered 2000 and will use the remainder for future projects.I consider these a fair price for a great product. Thanks to Amazon Prime, we didn't have to pay for the shipment as they came in boxes of 1000 and the boxes were quite heavy.

Whether you gently hand push or lightly hammer this product, it severely bends. It’s very frustrating and more than half of the items in the box were thrown away. Purchased a box of a lot of crap.....

I used the stakes to hold down the ground cover cloth that was placed over my very hard clay/sand soil. I thought it would be a problem to penetrate the soil but these stakes hammered in easily and did not bend.I’m purchasing more to use in the backyard.

These will bend if you hit a rock while driving into the ground and rust quickly, but they’re a good bang for your buck.

they rust up pretty good but i've pulled them out of the ground 5 years later and they still anchor well. If anything they work better with a little rust.

2nd purchase of these from Sandbaggy. Heavy-duty, usually gets through our clay & rock soil. The price can't be beat. I've done all the calculating & theirs are the lowest prices. Plus, considering the weight of the package and that they're not Prime, they get to me relatively fast!.I do wish they didn't rust as quickly, although even rusty, they're still strong for years. I imagine rust-proof would be very expensive.
