Picking season in Australia, where this tuber is harvested with excellent result, goes from June to August. A period in which black truffles are selected and treated with the most modern technologies behind the shadow of old tradition, protected by the Urbani family for many decades.
The fresh truffles are sent all over the world and they reach even the furthest destinations in perfect conditions, thanks to the special refrigerated containers which keep the product fresh for up to three days.
Shipping: FREE Next day delivery. Shipping Only Monday To Thursday for delivery at your house on Tuesday to Friday. All fresh truffles orders placed before 3pm ET will be shipped out the same day, please check the following options: Express Standard – Fedex Next day (shipped out from Monday to Thursday) If you place an order after 3pm (EST) on Thursday, your order will be shipped out next Monday.
1 oz of product is recommended for 1 or 2 portions. Product life: 1 to 2 weeks (our advice is using truffles in 2 or 3 days maximum), kept in a refrigerator at 37.5 F (3 C), wrapped in paper towel. To ensure freshness we ship this product only with Next Day Delivery.
The classic recipe for black truffles is the salsa alla spoletina: for which the truffles are minced and added to warm, (but not frying!) olive oil, a touch of garlic, salt and pepper. This makes it ideal for bruschettas, spaghetti, meat and fish. You can grate black winter truffles on vanilla ice cream for the best dessert ever!
