HIC KitchenClassic Non-Stick Egg Slicer, 18/8 Stainless Steel Wires

I bought this to replace a cheap plastic and wire egg slicer when the wires broke. I don’t think there will be any breaking this. It is built like a tank! It has nice little non-skid feet, too. The only thing is, it might be a little harder to wash than my old one. And the box said it was not dishwasher safe. So, I recommend washing immediately after using so that the egg won’t stick in the nooks and crannies or on the wires. So far, I like it a lot.

Easy to use and solid. Easy to clean with a little dish brush. Cuts my boiled eggs and strawberries nicely for my salads.

Since sliced olives cost twice what whole olives do, I thought I'd give this a try! You can put two olives in there at a time and just flip it over and slice right into the bowl! Works great!

I picked this up to replace one that broke, an old plastic one. I thought I'd try the all metal one even though it wasn't the plastic part that broke on the old, but the wires.This one is well made, solid, but just too small. I can do an extra large egg sideways easy enough, but when I want to do a perpendicular slice, and have to place it pointing towards the hinge, too often bits get caught under the top part as it comes down. I can kind of shove a finger underneath as I am slicing to try to keep it from getting caught, and that works more or less, but it's just a bit of a pain to have to do that, and it interrupts the flow if you're doing a bunch for egg salad or something.So if you only need this for smaller eggs, it works well and is well made, but if you want to do bigger eggs, this may not be the slicer you're looking for.

I bought this for making egg salad sammies and it slices eggs well BUT due to there being no grip on the underside of this thing, it slips all over when trying to slice. It would benefit greatly if the manufacturer were to add little rubber feet underneath or something to grip countertops. All an all it does what I need ti to do except for that.

Slices like a pro. Strong strings, unlike that crap I got @ ikea that broke after several uses. I need this to slice mushrooms and it works really well. The only thing that puts me off a little bit is that it "sings" when it cuts. The strings are musical somewhat which makes it seem like the mushroom is screaming. I feel like it was too expensive for the simple item that it is but if is lasts and the strings don't pop of it will be well worth it

I have only tried to slice mushrooms so far and that did not work well.

I really like this slicer! I mainly use it for slicing hard-boiled eggs. It works really well, and the metal wires cut easily through my eggs. The wires do not cut completely through the egg, but I actually think that is a good thing, as it keeps the whole egg from falling apart when I remove it. I also like the chrome coloring, it is sophisticated in the kitchen!

Muy bueno, resistente en caso de que se llegara a aflojar el alambre de corte se puede volver a ajustar ya que viene con tornillo.

Used this for the first time today. Was very disappointed. I tried it on 3 strawberries. They were perfect strawberries (not over ripe or too green) after three (which it didn’t slice all the way thru) the wires were bent and loose. I am sure if I kept using it the slice wires would have broken. So not please with this product and will be returning for full refund. You would think by feeling how heavy and how what seemed to look well made it is, it could hold up to strawberries as advertised (eggs, strawberries and mushrooms).

Nice weight to the unit making it stable when being used. Easy to clean

Till now working fine..But have to use it very carefully..Because if the wire start bending then its a useless product. You cant replace the wire.Heavy and looks pretty good...Can be used as a showpiece in ur Kitchen.
