DuofoldMen's Expedition Weight Two-Layer Thermal Tagless Crew

This is a very nice base layer and contrary to some reviews, it does have two layers and is heaver than the "Heavy Weight" Duofold thermal although not by much but I'll take it. This fits snugly and doesn't creep up from being tucked in like my Under Armor Cold Gear does while I work. Although it's not as warm as Cold Gear, it does stay put. I have both the heavy weight and the expedition weight. Both keep me warm, are comfortable and durable.

There is a slight misnomer when manufacturers describe the different weights of performancetheramals. The Expedition weight is construed to be called the heaviest top avaiable from Duofold,or any of their rivals, but should really be labled heavy weight.My other suggestion is a matter of sizing. If you want a snug fitting top, go by the sizing chart. But if you want sufficient arm length when stretched, and overall length so the shirt stays in place, move up one size.With those two clarifications, I rate the Duofold Expedition weight thermal with a 4.7 starrating. It fits well with the mix of Lycra,wears very well, and holds it's shape, even after many,many washings. This unit has evolved over the years into a 21st century garmet, so cudos deservingly goes to Duofold for striving to producing an excellent product v/s the total cost.Amazon offers one of the lowest cost on the internet. And that extends to many more products. With the added feature of free shipping for thousands, upon thousands of items, Amazon is hard to beat in 80% of my purchases. Would I purchase this product again? I will,and I have.

I live in Michigan where it gets very cold. I bought several pairs of these Duofold Long Underware and I love them. They save me a ton of money on my home heating and electric bill. I keep my furnace thermostat turned way down. I wear these all the time. They are very soft,not like the cheap stuff sold in many big box stores. Duofold is the best and they last forever if you take car in washing and drying them. It's unbelieveable how they keep me warm when I walk outside 4 miles everyday in the cold winter when its 15 degrees outside.

This product no matter what size you ordered used to be a true slim fit and was very snug to you but not tight. The sleeves also were such a perfect longer length that went down past your wrist bone. I know this is the same model but they make it different now and the sleeves are slightly shorter. A lot of the do with old stuff is made a little different these days and augmented slightly. I like the older better, nevertheless it’s still very comfortable very soft very warm and a fantastic product for the price and don’t tell anybody even though they already know but this product makes me look really timelessly sexy too.

I am more than impressed with this product. For the price you simply can't beat this.I've had this product along with bottom layer and they just keep me so warm and really wick the moisture away from my skin. I've used these to subzero temps, around -7 or so and they perform well. I've even used them in the Spring time and they aren't too warm.If you want a good product that holds up through multiple washings, rugged trips, and overall wear and tear than order this product. The sizing seems to be correct to.

I ordered these for a week-long hiking, backpacking, and hunting trip in the Adirondacks. It was in the 50's during the day and 30's at night and it rained non-stop. My pants were soaked through regularly (I had a rain jacket on), and there was so much humidity in the air that, once wet, nothing could be gotten dry. I wore these as an under-layer and never wanted to take them off. They were comfortable during the day, even when exerting a lot of energy backpacking uphill, and also great at night. They kept my temperature so perfectly balanced the whole time that I just ordered another pair.

I received the package on time as expected. I personally have had very few issues with shipping from amazon. I am a prime member and order a lot of stuff from amazon. I was super excited that I got my thermals so I could be ready for my plans. I waited in anticipation all day so I could make sure everything fit right under my clothing and modify my outer wear as needed to fit over them. suspense building for hours. I finally see the truck pull up and I know my package is about to be in my hands. They come up to the door and knock. I sign for it dreaming about the awesome thermals inside as this was rated highly. I feel the package as I take a minute to breath in and out. I open the package and pull out the 3 items and set them on my desk.I do a double take.... am I seeing things wrong? maybe I have had a little to much to drink and I am seeing double..... Oh wait I drank all my good booze last night..... If thats not it maybe the package is wrong? I open the boxes thinking the box is just labeled incorrectly. To my dismay I have 2 pairs of pants sitting in front of me O_o !!!!!!! ok maybe not so bad they sent me 2 pairs of pants hell I could use 2 pairs if they are good. Oh wait !!!!!! one pair is the right size 2XL and the other is a ....... Large?So now not only do I have to cancel my plans for tomorrow 1/9/16 but I have a worthless pair of pants waist size 36-38 O_o I am bigger around the waist dont get me wrong I normally wear 40-42 so I should have gotten an XL instead of 2XL but I find the last pairs I bought ran small.I then thought hey I could just cut out the crotch and use it as a head hole problem solved :) oh dam the leg inseams are way to long to be my arms and dont fit right.MORAL OF THE STORY: IF YOU HAVE PLANS AND NEED SOMETHING DONT BUY FROM THESE GUYS. THEY CANT READ A BOX BEFORE THEY PUT IT IN THE PACKAGE. IT CLEARLY SAYS "MEN'S PANT" ON THE FRONT AND IT HAS A BIT "MEN'S L" IN THE TOP RIGHT. THAT SIZE DOES NOT EVEN MATCH THE PANTS I ORDERED SO I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT SOMEONE WAS THINKING. I GUESS THEY MUST HAVE GOTTEN AS DRUNK AS I WAS LAST NIGHT.I called amazon support. They proceed to tell me they CAN NOT ship me what I ordered and the best they could do was refund me. talk about a load of crap. so now I have to wait 2 or 3 business days to get my money back. I have to put off my plans for a few days and I have to find another seller to find me a matching shirt for my pants.Hell a gift card or something offered up by amazon would have been nice since I spend a good bit of money on here. I did every single bit of my Christmas shopping on here. I spent a lot of money and had all of it arrive properly without any issues.Not a huge deal but the pants I did order came in box that looks like someone sat on it then played soccer with it.PICTURE INCLUDES: the box on the left is the one I did NOT order. as you can see the box clearly shows its not a shirt. its a little beat up but over all in good condition. The item on the right is the one I DID order. talk about a difference.
