Excellent and engaging
An excellent and engaging version of the classic text that deserves a new generation of readers. A desert island book

Fantastic!
Ok, so l didn't finish the story when it was still new! However this translation is easy to read, crossing over the eons easily so the interpreter needs a big shout out, and most interesting. To view another culture/world foreign to this one and have it done with ease is simply a joyful experience. The language of death and friendship made beautiful.Buy it, read it, as there's much to gain and little to loose for the time & price.

Literally Where it ALL Began
A short story the size of a puddle with the depth of an ocean. It's about the fall of an arrogant Demi-God into depression and self loathing following the death of his one and only friend. The first heroic tale as well as the first character study.

Interesting
I haven't read the more literal translations of this work, but I find that this work made me want to seek those out. It's an interesting and sad story, and open to interpretation in multiple areas. For example, the relationship between Enkidu and Gilgamesh read as that of lovers to me. Well worth the read.

Good price, good quality, good story.
Price was perfect. Used for my humanities course. Light weight to carry around and durable enough to make annotations. REALLY GREAT STORY THO. PLEASE DONT BLOW OFF THIS STORY BECAUSE ITS "FOR SCHOOL AND MUST BE BORING, OLD, AND POINTLESS". If you take your time to sit, read, research, and reflect, you will want to reread it.
