Incompatible with libaries and software for other beaglebones.
Mine (soft) bricked when trying to updating the pinmux, because the AI has a completely different procedure for doing that. Would have been useful to know before buying that it is categorically incompatible with existing documentation and libraries for the beaglebone ecosystem. An expensive overheating paperweight without a single coherent workflow on fundamental tasks like turning a GPIO pin on and off. Is there a python library for it? No. (Well they say there is, but it doesn't work on the AI). Is there a pinout diagram? Not anywhere I could find. Bash? Deprecated and slow. C? Go compile it and good luck! One would think that setting GPIOs, reading ADCs, and knowing which pins do what would be table stakes for selling a microcontroller. Guess not.The hardware is impressive, so if you already know what your doing and are going to code from the TI datasheet directly this might be for you. So if you've read this far and haven't reached the conclusion that you know better and what I've mentioned doesn't bother you: run away as fast as you can. After this experience, I'm never touching another Beagle product.
