Works fantastic perfect for my home office! I shred my mail and any random paper work I have lying around the house! Definitely recommend it’s super easy to use and very compact!

It’s around 30 dollars and I think it’s okay for what you pay for it. It’s more for people that don’t really have a lot to shred due to its size. The basket fills up pretty quickly and you can just take the top off to dump it. The easy removable top is actually a pro and a con. The con is you have to remember to never just grab it from the top if you are trying to move it somewhere else because then you are just removing the top and have to put it back on. It will shred the paper into strips. If it seems it’s not shredding good sometimes you most likely just need to remove the top and pull the paper strips off the shredding gears. It only tends to do this after you shred a few things and the basket is getting full. This shredder is for a person on a budget that doesn’t have a lot to shred. If you can afford to spend more money and do a fair amount of shredding than go for a higher priced shredder for multiple reasons. One reason is the shredder is small so will fill up quickly if you do anything more than very light shredding

I was spring cleaning and found a TON of medical documents that I needed to shred. Someone recommended this particular shredder so I decided to try it out. Overall, it was super easy to set up. I was shredding up to 4 or 5 pages at a time (instead of the full 8) and only had two mild jams. Do be careful to make sure the paper is more or less straight up and down, otherwise it'll go in at an angle and the paper strands can get gummed up. The Reverse button is super helpful for getting jammed paper out. But also, just don't overload the thing.I had probably 30 different envelopes of info to destroy--which required me emptying it 3 times--and it took me about 20 minutes total. The noise wasn't too loud, but it's definitely not a hum. The unit did well, only getting a little hot by the end of my shredding session. I did use the CD/Credit Card shredder which handled the fake credit card pretty well. Overall, I am pleased with the size. I would recommend putting a trash bag inside the unit when shredding to make clean-up easier. I probably would NOT recommend this if you have a business that requires you to shred a lot of documents continuously; but for a personal unit that is needed sometimes, it's great to have on hand.

if i could give this zero stars i would. i don't know if we received a faulty or defective one, but we used it for all of five minutes before it just ... stopped... working?? i really truly am not the type of person to be super vindictive about products when they don't work, but me and my mother are trying to clean up our apartment and we have years of old bills and mail that we need to shred! (btw protecting your address and stuff is really important, even if you don't buy a shredder, just remember to rip off your address off cardboard boxes and rip it up by hand before recycling/throwing out. the gov't tracks you, they know where you are etc, whatever, but your personal info is very sacred!!!!!!) anyway this shredder SUCKS!!! we used it for literally five minutes before it overheated and stopped working altogether. you would think that maybe the price of this shredder was worth it, but for us, it really wasn't. all we needed it to do was shred some paper! not even a credit card or some cd's! but it couldn't even do that. i'm really disappointed. i am in my early twenties and i have never used a shredder before, and i got really excited to use this! but my day was ruined. my disappoint immeasurable. again, if i could rate this zero stars, i would.

Not as good as previous one I've had.. Paper gets jammed too often.. Bought this one as a cheap emergency sicne I cldnt at the time locate the previous model I was happy with

Originally, I ordered the S-120C shredder, but the heat had turned into a thick sticky substance over the left side and top of the shredder. The shredder worked great and I just covered the sticky side with plastic from the basket covering. I told Bonsaii about it, and they asked if it was okay with me if they replaced the sticky substance shredder with a different shredder, art no cost to me, and I ended up with the C234-B shredder which arrived within about 3 days. They didn't want me to ship them back the original shredder I bought. Best customer service I have had in years, it was like living in America again! The shredder in the picture is the new one they sent me the C234-B.I love this shredder! It takes 8 pages at a time and cross cuts them. You can clearly see through the window on the front of the basket how full it is so you know when to open it. The top of the shredder has a handle so is very easy to lift the shredder top from the basket to empty. Bonsai also provided me with go above the norm customer service. I recommend this shredder to anyone. It doesn't do credit cards or CD'S, but the original sticky substance shredder does and since they don't want it back I can use if for those items! Definitely worth the money and I just ordered Bonsaii lubricant to keep my blades sharp.
