Tie a turk's head at each end and wrap the interval with paracord and you're set. Great knife.

Nice Knife - terrible sheath
The knife is nice, hefty and sharp. Perfect for the intended use. But come on... the sheath is terrible. The cheapest piece of nylon cloth stitched together as a thin, floppy sheath. The thin belt latch was already ripped off and the second one only half connected.... For the price I expect something much better! Have a little bit of pride Myerchin!!

Great Knife
Safe, sharp. Perfect for sailboat safety!

Will rust.
Fresh water rinse is not adequate to keep it from rusting on first use in salt water. I suppose it needed to be oiled as well.

Another Great Myerchin Knife
Great dive knife. I love Myerchin knives and have their boat specific knives as well. Previously, I had used a folding titanium knife in its pouch attached to my BCD. While it was easy to open and locked in the open position, it was bulky. This knife is very streamlined and the sheath is nicely attached to the shoulder strap of my BCD almost unnoticeable till needed. Simply rinse it off after a dive and the stainless steel is of such a good quality that it looks brand new after several weeks of multi tank dives. My only suggestion would be that the end be more squared off like the typical blunt dive or rescue knife. That squared off end is very useful at times as screwdriver or a prying instrument.

Knife is very high quality and should give years of great service. The sheath on the other hand is not so good. Poor quality, belt loop is too big, overall doesn't fit the knife very well.

Do Not Trust the Leather Sheath
Great knife However the leather sheath is not the best way to hold onto it while on deck I will ordering another after lossing my last to the lake. Highly recomend some type of retaining device.

Works great for many years does not rust
I have had the older version of this knife for almost 10 years and it has stayed sharp and almost entirely rust free. doesn't hold and edge quite as good the other myerchin rig knives with the higher carbon steel blades but hasnt required excessive sharpening.........not sure where your supposed to hold this thing when trying to use the wrench feature.........
