what roast (light dark medium) are these please? :-)

Let me first start to say, I'm a coffee snob. And I have 10 different ways to make coffee, lol. I was hoping it would be a robust medium dark roast to make the perfect Vietnamese coffee and with coconut sweetened condensed milk, but alas it was a medium light, closer to a light roast and the grind wasn't ideal. But you might love it.

which variety is used in the cans?

You should ask the manufacturer. I thought it was just tue pure Robusta.

Does this product come in whole bean or ground form?

The product listing says Whole Beans. But if you search our store, we also have ground coffee option available!

Which whole bean would be good for grinding and making regular coffee in a drip style coffee maker?

It depends on your personal preference -- but if you like it sweet and fruity, we'd recommend Courage. If you like a more bold and nutty profile, we'd recommend Loyalty (our best seller!).
