So far so good, only had this wheel a few days, so I will update my review if that changes. We bought this purely as a trimming wheel to keep up business production when our old Skutt burnt a fuse. It is quite small, as descibed, so it works best on a table top. Would be absolutely perfect for instructing kids on how to throw, which we plan to do in the future. It is very quiet which is nice! It does have some off-gassing smells, possibly from the new paint...but that should fade with time. Haven't tried throwing yet, but giffin-grips fit the wheel head for trimming. We made a modified catching tray for the trimmed scraps because the original pan is too low with the grips on top of the head.Included accessories ("sponge", trimming loop tools ×2, metal rib, wooden rib, and needle tool) are so-so in quality, but would work in a pinch... Doesn't matter much because its not a selling point for me.

This spin wheel is awesome! It's my first time owning a spin wheel. I missed my ceramics class and finally had enough money to splurge on this product. It was worth it! It's small enough to use in my dining area since I don't have a woodshop/ ceramics room. It also came with tools! My husband and I had a lot of fun getting dirty and making ugly pottery 😂. I am looking forward to learning more on it. Very easy to use. If you're older and have a bad back I recommend having someone else help you move it around.

This is my first wheel. An experienced Potter made some lovely pieces in her attempt to teach me. She said it was smooth and performed well.

This pottery wheel goes under a lot of use from me and is still going strong. It has all of the features you need and some extra tools to get you started. It is larger than expected but that is a good thing.
