How do I secure the stopper top? No directions, so I had to put this is another bottle.

You pivot the ring so that the small end of the stopper is on and just goes into the neck of the bottle. Then push down hard on the ring against the side of the bottle. This will hold the stopper in place. Try it while the bottle is empty first! I prefer another type of bottle with a screw cap rather than these old fashioned ones.

How many % of alcohol does it contain?

It depends on what kind of alcohol you use to make the vanilla extract. I used vodka. You can also use bourbon.

How many beans does it take to make a 16 oz bottle of extract?

I would put at least 10, maybe 12. I had 8 in my 12 oz bottle and it seemed a little weak.

Time will tell!

I received everything as stated. Nicely packaged, arrived quickly. I won’t be sure if it was worth it for another 6 + months…I got a small bottle of vodka and followed the instruction's…all together cost me $35….so I suppose time will tell. I can add more vodka and vanilla beans as I use it so I’m hoping that will be less pricier than buying vanilla. There are two holes at the top of the bottle to place the metal cap clamp into …took me a while to figure that out….lol !
