SamsoniteClassic Leather Toploader Briefcase

I bought this bag for my dad for Christmas as his old bag has finally given way, but it still works well. His old bag is also a Samsonite and he has probably had that for over 20 years. I'm hoping that this one will last as long, I'm sure it will, as I didn't know his last bag, which I've seen forever, was a Samsonite as well! I bought his this bag because his last one had a large zipper but open pockets on the outside. He lost his phone on a plane because he slid it in the flap on the outside, so to prevent that, I bought him this one with thr zippers EVERYWHERE!This bag has ample size, it feels great, smells great, is real leather for a great durability, has extra protection included since you do have zippers throughout, includes a strap for the shoulder or you can carry it as well. I feel as if this was the prefect upgrade for him, as I bought it so he could zip everything he put in there, up and secure his belongings. He loves it!It probably should have cost more, Samsonite is a great brand, it was real leather, and the durability is hard to beat.

This is a well-crafted product as described. The interior is spacious with lots of compartments, making it suitable for someone who travels frequently between different locations, including a home office. The added strap to slide over luggage handles while traveling is a must-have feature. The only unanswered question is how well it will hold up over time.

Does the job.

I just purchased this, so haven't had a chance to really explore its use. but I wanted to make sure people purchasing this know that it does NOT come with a shoulder strap. Despite the product description, it does NOT have a shoulder strap included. Otherwise, it seems in fine shape, and I will edit this review in the future if I have more to contribute.

A corner of my leather bag was torn apart. It is a little over warranty period, I suppose. It happened while ago. But I was lazy and postponed talking to Samsonite. Now they say I am late and have to pay for shipping and repair cost which might be almost same or more than the purchase cost. They don't have a sense of responsibility for the products they sold. Over warranty period? That's it. Legally they are off the hook. But I am so unsatisfied with the company. Who expects to use the products only over warranty period? So far I have thought Samsonite was a very reliable brand. When I was young Samsonite was a legend. Never, never anymore. Goodbye Samsonite!
