Kicks were perfect for converse - easy to install and not a ...
I bought three types of shoelace systems: Xpand, Hickies, Kicks.1. Kicks were perfect for converse - easy to install and not a single issue. I have worn my converse with the Kicks approximately a dozen times and no issues.2. Hickies took about a minute (if that) to understand to install. I run about 3-5 miles a day and do HIIT training. I have had these about two weeks and not a single issue. I am very impressed. It even alleviated some foot pain issue I was experiencing - due to how my laces were being tied.3. Lastly, Xpand are the absolute worse of the three I purchased. The installation video was 8 minutes long. Seriously, 8 minutes? Then, by time I laced the shoes and attempted one of the clips, the laces had worked too loose to be comfortable. I think that I will be nuts in adjusting these. Whats worse, by time you get them just right they say "do not cut the laces, give it a day or two to make sure". OK, and do what with the 5 inches of lace that you don't need?? Tie it in a bow? Defeats the purpose, don't you think? The installation was difficult, I am unimpressed with the quality and frankly too impatient to even try again. I am cutting my losses on this and ordering more hickies.

Love Xpand, convenient and easy!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Xpand no tie shoelaces work perfect, and exactly as described. They were super easy to install. The color selection is awesome, and I have purchased many colors to match all different colors on my shoes. Xpand keeps my laces snug without hurting my feet, thanks to the adjustability. Even when I'm using them to work out, I can still slip my shoes on and off easily! The material and elastic in the laces is really high quality that make them have the perfect amount of stretch. I love these laces and plan to keep repurchasing more!

Great for airport security and better and more stylish than velcro!
I love these laces! I have multiple "systems" in different colors on a good amount of my shoes and not just on athletic/running shoes. They're fantastic for airport security or if you're just too lazy/busy to tie your shoes. Once you get them fitting how you want, you'll never have to worry about them again. I will say that getting them just right is a bit tedious because you will want them fitting perfectly before you do any trimming to size. Once you cut the laces down you will not be able to re-lace your shoes with those laces because you'll be cutting off the plastic piece that makes that possible. So, take your time. I recommend lacing them with your foot in the shoe (with socks), then stand up and walk around a bit to see if they're too loose or too snug. My feet swell a bit with a lot of activity, so I don't have mine super-snug. If you're worried about adjustment later, just don't cut them too short. I have these on a couple pairs of PF Flyers, a couple pairs of Chuck Taylor's, a couple Adidas running shoes, and a pair of Nike Free's (I have attached pictures to show how they look on different styles of shoes, with the white pair of Adidas showing how you can "hide" the lace ends. Nike free's not pictured). Now, I will say I don't do much running, so I don't know how they hold up during that type of activity. However, I weight train and circuit train with these on my shoes and they're great. I also have worn these on all day on numerous occasions and have not experienced any discomfort. Again, take your time with the fitting and you will not be disappointed!

If only it was a little bit wider
I actually feel bad dinging them a star, because the system does work very well.Frankly, the only beefs I have are very minor:1- you're mainly paying for those plastic clips and optional colors2- the package I received had clearly been opened before (cleanly ripped across the top), but everything was there.3- these laces are somewhat narrow (more so when stretched) and shiny and as such are not aesthetically suitable replacements for shoes that are designed for fatter laces or that have roughly textured uppers. The material is identical to the elastic bands you can get at fabric stores, which are much cheaper, but are generally not available in the myriad colors seen here. This product also has pre-sealed ends and those custom tabs, which are not worth the hassle of trying to custom make, even if you could buy cheaper elastic in the right colors. That said, you don't actually have to use those clips if you're okay with just using the lace lock holes in running shoes and tying knots at the ends.Feels a little pricey for something whose material cost is nothing remotely near that, but if you need the colors and hardware, ten bucks is kinda okay. One suggestion I'd have for the company is to move to a single-closure system, whereby the dangly bits on the sides can instead be moved to the center of the tongue and locked in a single, curved clip. It would look much cleaner.

Was skeptical... now...
Ok so I was skeptical but man was I set straight. These things are awesome. Got a pair of black ones for my gym shoes and put them on a little tighter but have some room for adjusting. As a dad... quick shoes on and off make trips to the indoor playground, pool and karate easy.As a dad that is at the gym every other day, these things hold up to the treadmill, lateral moves, sled pushes, and yes... even basketball. Didn't think they would and I tried to push them past their limits. They hold up. Will post again in a couple months to see how long they last.

10/10
I love these laces, I put them on my converse as I hate the laces that constantly trip me up. These are easy to put on, comfortable and provide enough support. They're not too stretchy and not too tight. I thought at first the clips on the end of the laces would get in the way or hang out but they're unnoticeable.

Turn all your shoes into slip-ons
I bought a set of these laces as I have a hip problem that makes tying my left shoe lace very difficult (and painful). I have been using them in a pair of trainers and am very happy with the result. I was initially concerned that they wouldn’t fasten tightly enough, but the opposite proved to be the case and I ended up adjusting them two or three times to make them looser. The fastening system is very effective and easy to use, so adjustments were no problem. I have now ordered more for pairs of shoes that I had stopped wearing.

How did I 'knot' know about these before?!
(Pun intended in title)I've previously been a rubber lace man on Converse and Vans previously which have a straight-laced appearance but with a new pair of Van's I wanted a crisscross patterned lace without the faff of excess lace hanging out or uncomfortably tucking my laces in and poking my feet. These are super long and have a really good amount of tension. Imagine if you've ever used bungee cords before, they're like them but in lace length and thickness. They have a good amount of stretch without being useless, like a cheap elastic band. The only thing to note is it's a lot thinner than a normal lace, so if you have quite chunky shoes they may look a bit out of place. The clip is really strong. I've set mine up inside the shoe and I don't feel them at all. Just lace the shoe as needed, add your clasp to finish and trim the excess. One benefit to this is you don't need to be even with the lacing if your trimming as it'll look the same in the end.I'm 100% going to get more of these for my other shoes!

Got it all tied up!
simple solution to a problem, Ok not everyone has this problem, but I do....I'm a little rotund...chubby! plus I have an Old back injury that does make it tricky to tie shoe laces, not impossible but uncomfortable! These laces are great...simple to put in shoes...simple but effective locking system but everything works! no loose laces anymore, they look good in my adidas gazelle, no slip at all! I thought I'd give them a go and now I'm looking to change all my laced trainers to this system!
