Monet's Garden: Through the Seasons at Giverny

Bought this as a gift for a dear friend's birthday because we love it so much ourselves. We use it to plan and adapt our home flower garden for continuous bloom throughout the seasons. It's not a how-to book, but a what- and when-to book. Very helpful.

After visiting Monet's Garden in Spring I wondered what it looked like the rest of the year. This book shows it allin beautiful photos in all seasons. It also explains how the gardens were restored and by whom and discussingthe many gardeners employed to keep it lovely in all seasons.

Colorful, nicely organized photos. Will be visiting Monet’s garden and Giverny soon. This is a great way to get in the mood.

I was so excited to receive this book, until I started flipping through the pages. There is a page CUT out of the book! Page 19/20, all that is left is a stub! I am very upset about this!

If you like garden books, of the coffee table type, you will enjoy this. It captures the garden beautifully, and I have a mind to cut it up and have the photos framed because I think they are so picturesque.

Although I bought this for a niece, I broused through it when it arrived. So many beautiful paintings - it is a must for those who enjoy the impressionist painters.

I disliked getting a soft back edition rather than hard back which is what I expected but I STILL don't read all that all important small print even at my age, I get caught out time and time again, shame really but that's all these companies for you, ie catch one out time and time again!
