So far, this is working great. I read some reviews warning about using the back flush valve. I have used the back flush several times with no issues. Easy to install is a relative term. It was not a direct replacement for the one that had failed, but the problems were from the original installation, not with this filter . However, the way the fittings connect to the Bio filter seems a lot better and I have not had any issues with leaks as a result. I did make an error in my original pond design and the filter sits in an in ground box by the outlet of the pond. As a result the head pressure is greater that the specs allow. The pump is in the pond, goes through the filter then has about 5 ft of lift to go over the water fall. The only issue that I have noticed, as a result of the lift pressure, is that the indicator that shows when the filter needs cleaning, always shows the filter needs cleaning. I was concerned that the pressure might cause other issues, but so far no issues.It is easy to clean if I just want to back-flush the filters. However, removing, cleaning and properly reinstalling the filters takes time and you MUST pay attention to how things come apart.

The filter was leaked badly after 1 month. The waste line no longer work, cleaning the filter was very difficult.
