Law Abiding Citizen (Unrated Director's Cut) [Blu-ray] by Overture Films/Anchor Bay Entertainment

This movie was a complete surprise for me. I am a Hospice patient care volunteer and one of my patients was bed ridden, not able to speak BUT he loved action movies. I found this movie on-line and it was a wonderful surprise, I'd never heard of the movie.If you like action movies, this is a great choice.

If you are a Gerard Butler like myself, then you will love this movie. I can't tell you how many times I have watched this movie. Just a little spoiler - if you love seeing justice being carried out by an individual or individuals when the justice system fails you, then you will definitely want to buy this movie. It is great.

This a good film that is full of suspense. It features a great cast that plays their roles to perfection. It is extremely gruesome so be prepared for that aspect of the film.This review contains spoilers.It is a story about a father whose wife and child are murdered and brutalized in front of him. The real criminal gets off with a light sentence by arranging a deal with a prosecutor that is more interested in his trial win record than in real justice. Unfortunately, he made an enemy with the father who is a very dangerous man. A very dangerous man!Gerard Butler plays the father and he takes 10 years to plan his payback for all of those involved in the travesty of the trial and conviction of the criminals that murdered his family. He not only wants the criminals to pay painfully but also all of the people involved with the trial. He wants the injustice of the legal system exposed and he will go to any extreme necessary to show the public what has happened and what is wrong with the legal system.Gerald Butler and Jamie Fox play great mental adversaries in the film. Clyde Shelton, Gerald Butler, is a master CIA assassin that specialized in exotic, hands off, remote murder of CIA targets. Nick Rice, Jamie Fox, is the District Attorney who negotiated the plea deal and now he faces the challenge of out thinking Clyde Shelton.This is a very good film with a lot of action and twists in the plot. It is well worth watching. I rated it 5 starsI purchased the BluRay version of the film that comes with 2 discs. Disc One is the unrated Director’s cut with behind the scenes action and movie details. Disc Two is the theatrical cut of the film with optional audio commentary. I also converted the film to VUDU HDX digital format to allow me to stream it to my digital hardware and to my digital projector.This is a good film and it worth watching. I am glad that it is in my library of films that I own.

I love all kinds of movies from the absurd to the absolutely absurd, but this one takes you by the shoulders and makes you think….about a lot things…Watch it, you’ll see!

Un excellent film qui retrace l'histoire d'un père dégouté de la Justice suite à la faible condamnation des meurtriers de sa femme et sa fille. Il décide alors de se venger, mais surtout de faire comprendre au Procureur en charge de l'affaire que la Justice ne fonctionne pas comme elle le devrait.Un excellent film, à voir absolument.
