The mask comes with a stick on nose strip, and insert-able N95 filters, these will filter 95% not 99% of airborne pollutants , I suspect this is titled N99 as the presumption is the carrier adds additional filtering, which I find to be unlikely and miss-leading.However all in all a comfortable face mask.

I have migraine disease with chemical exposure (perfumes, cleaners, solvents, fuels...) as my primary trigger for migraine attacks. For several years I've been a dedicated user of Vogmasks. But after a recent hospitalization where I had to wear my mask almost constantly for days, I needed a new one and could not afford a new Vog. This mask is working very well for me.It took me a while to realize that the filters unfold before placing them inside, so in the beginning I used two filters when I could've used just one.You get what you pay for - the fit isn't quite as good as the Vogs, and I had to get rid of that foam nose strip because the foam kept coming loose from the sticky part which then sticks to my skin and drives me bonkers. But the mask seals around the bridge of my nose well enough. YMMV. Most importantly, even when I know I am in the presence of a trigger, it prevents me getting a migraine.

The fit does have some little little gaps around the eye/nose area and lets out air during exhale (even with the foam lining around the nose; but it is near complete coverage), but cmon it’s under $20 and in the US we dont have emergencies due to nanoparticles pollution like some asian countries do. This will do the job, and filter changeability makes it a long term use which I do find very likable. :)

I got this mask as I live in an area with quite a lot of wildfire smoke. I’d been advised that a N95 or higher rated mask would be wise to use when spending time outdoors, and that the mask must be snug fitting, providing a good seal around the face. The disposable N95 masks that I have been using have performed perfectly, but I liked the idea of a cloth mask since I will be weaing it daily for a month or more.Unfortunately the Debrief Me mask is very poorly designed. First off, it is impossible to get a good seal using the ear straps. The mask is too loose at the sides. Most troubling are the PM2.5 carbon filters provided. They come in two pieces, one for each side of the mask, leaving a gap in the middle. As an experiment I tried covering the filter with my mouth, sealing well, and inhaling sharply: I could barley get any air through the filter! I certainly could not get enough air to actually breathe. But when wearing the mask breathing is easy. Essentially the air that you are actually breathing is not passing through the carbon filters at all, but coming from the space between the two filters, passing through the cloth alone. This is dangerous to those that actually need a functional N99 air mask!

I was surprised at how comfortable this mask is. It is easy to put on and remove, and most of the time I almost forget I have it on. I purchased it because I live in a very dusty place, and it's very noticeable how fast my alergy symptoms stop when I put the mask on. The package came with 6 replaceable filters, however, I made a mistake by putting them incorrectly the first time, I didn't even know that you need to open each one of the filters before placing it inside the mask, as there were no clear instructions about this, and I only found out the correct placement of the filters by reading the comments on this item. Anyway, I still give this mask 5 stars because it's functional and comfortable.

I work and study in an anatomy lab. Last few years I've been very sensitive to toxins and scents. I started wearing this mask today and am very happy with the difference. I figured that no matter the quality that it would help with filtering formaldehyde, BUT the quality surpassed my expectations and I am super happy with this purchase. It has adjustable nose piece, proper size and fit, I am 5'6 average size. The amount of filtration this provides is great for me, comfortable and I love the pattern I ordered!
