Titanic: A Very Peculiar History™ Hardcover – Illustrated, April 1, 2014

Jim Pipe makes the reader feel that they are literally experiencing a piece of Titanic's history as they devour this book. I got the book for less than a quarter of the retail price through the seller on Amazon. The book is more than worth the cost of a few dollars. Throughout the book, there are replicas of Titanic Memorablia. A ticket to ride on the Titanic can be found within the book, playing cards that passengers played with can be seen, the schematic of the book can be found inside, etc. This is a hands-on book that contains bits and pieces of history that can be removed from the book and held by the reader. I would not recommend this book to be viewed and enjoyed alone by children under eight or nine. It contains many extra pieces that could be lost or ruined. I ordered Pipe's book at a more than reasonable price from the Amazon seller and my book arrived at my house within a week of being purchased. As if all that isn't great enough, I would like to mention that the book might have well been brand new because the condition of the book was remarkable.

I've studied ALOT of information about the majestic TITANIC and all of the societal implications, also the various tragedies of the laborers trials and tribulations to sabotage the launching of this great ship of the WHITE STAR LINES. trying to maintain the integrity and superiority . This book gives the reader a much needed view looking from the outside in. This book is by far one of the greatest books that I have ever had the opportunity to read. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book. I usually don't recommend any books, but this is a great book!! My sincere support to the author of this book. Keep up the great work and thank you..

The revamp of the original 1966 book is amazing! In most of the pages, there are secret, interactive items like the cards, and even the newspapers their self. I really love this book. You should rate it 10/10.

Lots of little extras

This book is told from the point of view of a reporter on board the Titanic's maiden voyage and his notes that were (supposedly) going to be published after the ship docked in New York. So in addition to presenting information about the ship, it's voyage, and it's demise, you also get a (fictional) first person narrative about the voyage.One item to note: This book contains a number of smaller pieces of paper contained within pockets in the book. I'd recommend this book for older children that will be able to keep these pieces with the book, lest they get lost.

Another peculiar history book ! Bought this year for my wife as she loves those we have already purchased. She has started to blurt out all these facts about the doomed vessel and is enjoying it immensely. Some Interesting and some very poingient snippets of information here for example Cpt.Smith stated before the voyage that his career to date had been very boring and that he hadn't been involved in any incidents whatsoever. The irony of those words !!Great book as usual with the Peculiar History series.

A really good book this, got it from my local library and decided to buy my own copy, terrific detail and it's a hard back copy too, couldn't believe the low price either
