Works perfectly with my Canon 80D
Wrote this review during the "stay home, stay safe" lockdown. I'm working from home (as of this writing), and have many Zoom video conference meetings each week. I use my Canon 80D as my Zoom webcam using the "EOS Webcam Utility Beta". (Total game changer for image quality by the way!!! If you haven't used your Canon camera as a webcam, you're missing out.) Using my DSLR as a webcam constantly sucked the life out of my batteries. It was kind-of a chore to have to remember to rotate fresh ones in, and keep charging the dead ones... So, I bought this HENGYI ACK-E6 DR-E6 AC Power Supply Adapter DC Coupler (Dummy Battery) kit so I could roll from one meeting to the next without fear of battery failure. It's a simple kit--comes with everything it says it does. I hooked it up, plugged it in, mounted my camera to a little tripod just behind my monitors, and now I'm Zooming in style. My camera now plugs into the wall instead of constantly draining my batteries. My Canon 80D even has a little rubbery opening to let the wire come out from the battery compartment, AND still lets me close the battery door. It's like Canon "knew"... Here's a quick list of Canon cameras that use the LP-E6N battery: 7D Mark II 7D 5D Mark II 5D Mark III 5D Mark IV 5DS 5DS R 60D 60Da 70D 80D (That's my camera!) 6D 6D Mark II If you've got one of these, check the vendor compatibility list to make sure it'll work with your camera body. This is a no-brainer if you have an indoor camera setup with your camera in a semi-permanent location. You might not do the whole Zoom meeting/webcam thing like I do, so here's some other uses: Are you a YouTuber who creates "talking head" videos? (Or any other indoor videos for that matter). Are you an online gamer who does Twitch streaming? Are you a studio photographer with a fixed setup? I don't stress about my batteries any more. Honestly I don't know why I didn't buy this thing sooner!

It works!
Works as expected. I was able to film with my Canon EOS R6 and external monitor for three hours straight without the camera warming up at all.

Not compatible With Canon 5D Mark 4 without alterations to Camera
So I bought this item because I was going to be doing med school interviews and wanted to make sure that my camera wouldn't die in the middle of a Zoom call. I was borrowing my wife's hand-me-down camera which is a Cannon EOS 5D mark 4. The product page listed this device as compatible and had good reviews otherwise so that came as a relief. However, upon opening the package I found that the device came with minimal instructions, and when I plugged it in though it fit it wasn't technically compatible with my camera as the camera battery receptacle has to be closed before the camera can be turned on which I did not learn until trying the product. And since the battery receptacle seals completely this would require drilling a notch in the side of the recepticle door which is was not willing to do. So I returned the item. If it was compatible It seems like a fairly straightforward product and useful product but be sure to check your compatibility as the product page is inaccurate in my experience.

Make sure you close the battery latch; this product DOES work
If you dont close the door of the battery compartment the camera will not turn on and you will think it does not work. There are intricate passages in the battery compartment through which the wire will need to travel so you dont break the battery latch. Once you have done this, you are free to use this product that very much works as advertised.

won't short out your camera
had no problems using this with my 90D, just make sure your camera is off when you plug it in and disconnect it. though that should be common sense...I used a volt meter to check how much power it was giving and I'd suggest you do the same.

All one-star reviews are hidden. This item does not work at all.
This item fraudulently claims to fit a 6d. Look at the photo of the electrical contacts on this product. Look at the contacts on your 6d battery. They are FAR from the same. Amazon needs to stop selling fraudulent products. 20 per cent of the reviews are one-star, and hidden. The photo is my 6d battery. Compare to the photo on the product's page.
