I'm not sure who's writing the positive reviews for this disaster of a product, but I'm guessing they're a bunch of resellers.1. It can't play anything: I've tried to play a handful of .AVI files from SD cards, USB sticks, CDs and DVDs. (SDHC cards and any USB stick with more than 4GB won't even get recognized by the device, but that's fine -- I expected that from a cheap piece of junk.) The real problem is that the device skips every 2-3 seconds, automatically changing from "pause" to "play" to "pause." The cards I'm using are type II or faster, so the problem is with the product's internal buffering of streaming data. In a few word, this product is a complete scam, flawed by design, and will simply not work (it's too cheap and light to be even used as paper weight).2. My unit has stuck buttons: None of the buttons would press down, except for the volume up. The fwd button would only increase the volume. The remote worked though, kinda.3. There's no battery. The unit must be plugged in at all times (comes with car and wall adapters), so it's really not "portable." But that's fine, except the cords are too short to plug the device into the wall and sit on the couch to watch anything (assuming the device could actually play files); you'll need an extension cord. The auto cord is log enough for the driver to put it on his lap. But since it won't play video files, you can probably use it as a donut holder for the morning drive -- maybe you can use the remote to scratch those hard-to-reach areas, or as a poop-scooper when walking the dog.As a side bonus, my unit arrived with gouges on the LCD and what seemed like pubic hair stuck in the protective case. Product shipped from Amazon labeled as "brand new." Thanks for giving me extra souvenirs, Amazon!!

No info about the capacity or type, SD or SDHC card this unit can handle is available. E-mail address provided by Amazon customer service, brought no response from the selling company. I believe I've determined, through trial and error that the unit doesn't support SDHC cards. Still not sure though.I am pleased that this unit is AC powered, info I found out from Amazon customer service, as it is not stated in the product detail description about the power source.

I bought this simply because of its ability to play different formats, particularly DivX. The player is small ,decently built and light .This makes it easy to carry around and setup.The carry case that came with it also allows easy set up.With zippers every which way to allow access to ports so that you do not have to unpack it fully every time.I liked the SD card slot, this was helpful as well, although I don't know about its compatibility with SDHC cards.On the down side I thought that the speakers were a little weak and it should have had two earphone outputs instead of one.The charge apparently drops of even when not in use.I missed the input mode I had with previous portables but it still works well.The display is good too.All in all for the price I am pleased with the unit and recommend to those short on cash or those that need multiregion or full format options.

I got mine ordered from Hawaii years agoIt didn’t last long before it stopped working(No image playing) I can’t even find a repair shop to get it fix

This came in with many diffenet format, however, current market, still has a lot of other choices with many features, the only thing you need to be aware of, is the pwoer adapter and the with the other out put are easy to get confuse, do not plug your power in into the wrong receiptical adapter.Well, is still a good product comparing to the cost.

I got this unit for .mp4 files which i also play on my iPod. It can't play them. The folks at RJ-TECH point out that MPEG4 is different than .mp4 files, technically.

RJ Tech products are garbage. I bought their portable DVD player and karaoke system they broke down in less than a month. Their customer service is also garbage. Rude, impatient people who could barely speak English over the phone. I went to their office in Chino and their manager, a bumbling fellow by the name of William Hsiao, admitted that their products are junk and they get complaints everyday. This guy had the nerve to accuse me of tampering with the POS they sold me. After an hour of arm twisting they finally agreed to replace their junk. I went home and used them for about a week before they died again. Went back to their office in Chino and that they said they won't honor warranty on a replacement?! I gave up and just threw their POS in the garbage next to their office. As I drove off I saw two of their employees digging through the thrash to salvage the POS they sold me. They'll probably try to resell them as "refurb"... This company is garbage, STAY AWAY!!!
