What Katie Did 1950s Vintage Sheer Bullet Bra

I was so confused as to which size I should get. I read all the reviews from their other bullet bras, and it seemed that everyone was writing about the bras being smaller than the size specified. Some people even wrote that the bullet bras sizes were in that smaller "Chinese" sizes. So, I decided to write to "What Katie Did." Their customer service was very helpful, and they replied to my emails quickly! But I didn't get their last email regarding which size I needed in time before I discovered that there was a "What Katie Did" store just 30 minutes from my house. I went there right away so that I can actually try the bra on just to make sure that it fits.All my bras are from Victoria's Secret, and they are all size 38B. When I tried this Vintage Sheer Bullet Bra, I was shocked that I could barely get into the 38B. The cups fit just fine, but the band that goes around my rib cage was way tight! But now... I know why!The reason why it's way tight is because this bra's band is not ALL stretchy. It has stretchy parts like in the center front of the bra, and two small ones by the hook on the back. So... there isn't much give to this bra like regular bras. That's why most people reviewed the bullet bras that are similar to this like their sizing is all wrong. What I needed was a 40B, NOT the 38B that I thought I needed. I tried on a different bullet bra that was 40C, the cup as expected was too big for me, but the band that goes around my rib was PERFECT!!!In the end... I bought this bra anyway. They didn't have a 40B in this bra, but I love this bra so much that I bought the 38B, why? Because it really is an easy fix. All I have to do was get a bra extender, and VOILA!!!! PERFECT!!!!So for anyone that is thinking about purchasing this bra or "What Katie Did" other bullet bras that don't have much elasticity, I suggest going up on your usual band size. I feel that this bra was a little over priced, but I needed for my Halloween costume, and this bra is the perfect bra for it. Therefore, I'm willing to compromise on the price, and the fit because it was an easy fix with the bra extender.
