A gem
This book came out when my baby turned 9 months old and I was right in the middle of "cooking for baby" stage. The timing was perfect! I tried nearly every recipe in the book, they all are favorites both with my baby and us. I love that the recipes are truly family food, not just baby food. I am sure that we will enjoy this book for many years especially when my little one is older and can start helping me cook!

Inspiring kids to cook
Having found myself in a bit of rut recently with regards to kids' meals, I've been looking out for a new cookbook for some ideas. I remember Ella's pouches being an absolute lifesaver when the kids were babies so when I saw this book I knew it would packed full of healthy but unusual ideas...I was right! My two children are now 7 and 5 so well into the age where they like to help out a bit and are interested in food. As soon as the book arrived they started flicking through it and we picked out some things that we'd like to try. We started with the chicken and butternut squash pasta bake which was a total hit and will now be featuring regularly on the dinner table! What I really like about the book is that it isn't condescending - as many kids' cookery books tend to be. It's bright, well-designed and appealing but it treats kids as discerning eaters; it praises healthy food without being preachy and it's not just packed full of cakes or pizza faces. Although the book is great for anyone from toddler age, these are recipes that the whole family will enjoy. Having gone past the stage of cooking different food for the kids and adults, but still having adapt certain recipes, this bridges the gap brilliantly and uses different techniques and ingredients to help introduce children to new flavours in a familiar environment. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for new ideas that are quick, easy and nutritious. Of course there are a few sweet treats in there too - in fact I'm just going to finish off the last in the batch of chocolate swirl cookies that we made the other day!
