Broken Boker's are Cheaply Laminated Two Pieces of Thin Plate Steel
These throwing knives are very cheaply made. They may indeed be made of 420 steel. However, they aren't made from a single piece of 420 steel. Instead, two thin plates of steel are laminated together in order to form the knife. After only a dozen throws into a soft pine target, the tip of the blade became de-laminated, exposing the extremely poor manufacturing.Buy quality, and make certain your throwing knives aren't made of cheaply laminated pieces of plate steel.

The holes could be designed better
I love the way these are weighted and they fly really well. I'm a low side of average sized female and I prefer these over my crazy big GH2033s, but the holes in these lend to lots of damage to the side of my index finger (pinch grip) and I can't get more than 10 tosses out of them before I grab a different set. If they were filed down at an angle instead of just straight through, I'd definitely give 5 stars. My 15 year old daughter holds differently than I do and these are her favorite knives so far.

Flies like a bullet, quite a beauty too.
Though called "Magnum" those are still relatively small knives as per my standards. However, I find them remarkably balanced and easy to handle. You get the power of a full spin with the stability, elegance, and straight flight of the "no spin". (See attached pictures) I therefore will keep that model as one of my three favorite (smaller) throwing knives. EDIT: I’ve wrapped the handles with cloth hockey tape, it makes the knife very smooth to handle. Threw it tonight, no-spin, using the Escaping Blade Throw style. That thing flew like a bullet and buried itself into the target (figuratively).

Great Knives. Thin Tips
Overall I found these knives to pretty decent. They have a decent weight and length to them and overall are a pretty thick and sturdy throwing knife. I would recommend these knives to any novice throwers out there that are looking to continue throwing knives for quite sometime. The biggest problem I had with them is their thin tips. They are a bit punishing if you miss your target or hit one of your other knives. I found this problem to be easily remedied by filing down the tips a bit and still keeping a decent point on the knives. It doesn't take long and it can save your knives from future damage that could cause you to lose more metal because of a particularly nasty bend.

Do it...buy 'em!
Just received these knives and they are awesome! Too bad that they are too big for what I was looking for. The sheath is nice too - thick leather with a belt loop, snap button over the handles. If they have the exact same thing, but smaller, then I'm sold.

This was my second set of throwing knives I had eber purchased my first set were SOG Flings. A fairly decent set for a beginner but soon out grew them. To increase my distance I wad having to thow harder and harder. When I received the Boker Magnums I was taken back by the size of the handle and thought thete was no way these things can be balanced I was wrong they are superbly balanced but handle throws take a little getting used to the knives overall are a good length and weight is good as well. I'm getting one revolution hits at 21ft and southside shuffle handle throws at 16 ft. Summation excellent beginner to intermediate knife good quality at a good price.

I wouldn’t waste the cash.
I honestly didn’t like this throwing knife at all. I mean I have another set of throwing knives from boker and they work just as good as my cold steel. I only give it two stars because it’s boker and I do like boker. This is actually my first boker purchase I’ve disliked and I have a lot of boker. Did I say boker a lot?

Not a bad set.
Not a bad set. The knives have good weight and balance. I prefer to throw blade first with a spin, and these allow for that with a good Deal of accuracy. The only down side is the point. Too many knife makers put a sharp needle point on a heavy throwing knife. Needle points bend without too much effort. So after a little file work these will be great inexpensive knives. Well worth the money spent. I have always trusted the maker, so they get atleast 3 stars just for that.

Presque wow!

Brittle, poor quality steel. Look good but broke very easily.
Terrible! First time I threw them at a good wooden target, 2 of the 3 broke, one in 2 , the other in 3 pieces. Very disappointed as were not cheap knives.
