- The Baseball Hall of Fame was dedicated on June 12, 1939 in Cooperstown, New York. Artifacts, photographs and documents all began to pour into the Hall of Fame, among the instant classics: a ball from the first World Series thrown by Cy Young; the first catcher's mask used in 1876; and the original painting from Norman Rockwell's "100th Year of Baseball" cover of the Saturday Evening Post in 1939. 3D postcard measures 4" x 6" on heavy cardboard stock. This stunning 3D Postcard comes complete with a paper easel for displaying the beautiful effectiveness of the 3D at any location. Norman Rockwell specialized in warm and humorous scenes of everyday small-town life. The cover of The Saturday Evening Post was his showcase for over forty years, giving him an audience larger than that of any other artist in history. This wonderful 1939 piece has been converted into a 3D Lenticular postcard.
