Teach Yourself Visually Macbook Pro and Macbook Air

I have learned alot from the Teach Yourself Visually Mac Pro and MacBook Air book - it is easy to understand along with the illustrations. I would advise this for anyone getting their first MacBook Air or PRO and if you are a senior. I am going from a Windows to a MacBook Air for the first time and found different changes from Windows.I have ordered usual Learning books in the past and always found them to be helpful. I would like to give a 5+++star rating if possible. A highly recommended computer book!

Do note that this book is for the MacBook Pro Catalina OS of 2020, not the current (2021) Monterey OS, so there will be some changes needed for the latter. It may be OK for many, but not all applications. Or you may want to play it safe by getting a computer book that matches your model if you have a different one. I have used this series for past laptops and found it useful and fairly clear.

Love this book! Had purchased another version years ago for Windows for my parents and it was so helpful! This one for MAC is wonderful! Bought my mom a new MacBook and needed a book with easily understood text with pictures for her. She loves it and I am learning new things as well. Book was bent when I received it so perhaps the way book is stored in inventory needs to be improved.

This book is a great training tool to move from a PC over to a MAC. Great instruction and pictures to show where you are.

No index...good luck finding topics.Reading reviews leaves me thinking that some end-users do not differentiate between hardware and software learning issues. Wanting to assist, I'll say that the age or model of the Apple computer is of little consequence. Monterey, the operating system, incorporates some radical changes. Select books accordingly, and know that knowledge of older operating systems (once a useful stepping stone) is of little merit.

Easy to follow manual. Came in very handy when I had freezing issues at 3 am with my MacBook. Was able to remedy the situation based upon directions included. Thanks

Very helpful review to help me orient to my new MacBook computer. I had to upgrade my 2011 iMac computer (OS was quite outdated by after 9 years). This book was easy to use in answering a number questions which arose during the changeover to the new computer. The chapters and index were well laid out the. The pictures with the descriptions made computer set-up and changes easy to accomplish.

I’m a visual person and the pictures with the written explanations is great. I have purchased other manuals from this company and have never been disappointed!!
